Professional with experience in social services, disaster response, Adult Education, non-profit work, customer service, data collection, instructional design, LMS administration, student advising, video conferencing, and instructional technology training. I enjoy counseling faculty and students on educational technologies and best practices in groups and individually. As much as I enjoyed helping educators become better with the use of technology, I had some setbacks that forced me out of the profession. I would like to get back into it someday. Currently I'm back in the public servant life working for the Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections. I'm certified in Quality Matters as a Peer Reviewer and am in the process of obtaining more certifications. I’m looking to advance as a technologist, designer, and trainer. Additionally, I'm trying to grow my podcast where I talk about #EdTech, social issues, and social trends. Prior to utilizing my Master’s degree, I worked as a case worker for almost five years where I handled SNAP (commonly known as "food stamps”) cases. Currently I am a public servant but I would also like to grow in the world of tech while sporadically participating in community projects. I’d love to be a leader in technology in the near future. I have a podcast and a YouTube channel that I am trying to grow. I'm also an election worker in Louisiana! State & local elections matter!
