I really love making stuff better. - Businesses, processes, managers, individual contributors, tools, systems, results, revenue, costs... I have learned from some brilliant leaders, teammates, and writers who have added priceless tools to my improvement toolbox. And, I have made countless "learning opportunities" (not "mistakes!") that have added to that toolbox, as well. I really love growing teams and teammates. - From USS Mitscher's stellar Supply Department to the store managers of New Dimension Comics to the professionals at H&R Block's Cranberry office... leading a high-performing team is one of life's great joys! I really love organizational development. - For most of my adult life, when I'm reading something, it is probably some author's new way of presenting the keys to improving organizations or another author's analysis of how a team/organization/industry went sideways. Applying this learning to real-life situations, though, that's my passion. Finally - words to live by: Leadership first. Next, really understand the process or work.
