Juan Florit is a seasoned project manager with extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex infrastructure projects. Currently working as contractor for Sydney Water Specialised Services Unit leading a $20 million initiative that involves a range of geotechnical remediation works on a landslide that has occurred on private property in the vicinities of the Nepean River. In his current role, Juan is responsible for coordinating and managing a wide range of professionals, including design consultants, Sydney Water Planning Partners, insurance and legal advisors, community and stakeholders, government agencies and regulators, civil contractors, HSEQ teams, procurement teams, schedulers, and estimators amongst others. He also plays a key role in engaging with the client while the project transitions from concept design stage towards delivery stage. Previously Juan has worked as Project Engineer for Sydney Water Southern Region Delivery Consortia to service Sydney Water "P4S" 10-year program of works. In this role he was mostly focused in the delivery of Odor Control Units, Chemical Dosing Units, and Pump Station Upgrade projects. Also providing support on Flow Isolation and Flow Management Procedures as a FIFM Coordinator and assisted wider teams as Temporary Works Coordinator across the Cronulla and Illawarra Networks, and City Networks projects. Having delivered several turnkey projects in different infrastructure fields from tender stage to handover, has taught Juan valuable cross-sectional skills, how to nurture stakeholder relationships, and how to successfully communicate concepts and ideas at all levels. He's proactive, adaptable, versatile, and a strong advocate of innovating towards efficiency.
