Q'Max works to provide drilling and completion fluids services for Oil companies such as Ecopetrol, Parex, GeoPark and others.

I gained a lot of experience from working at different oil fields which increased my accountability and responsibilities. As a Sr. Engineer, here are some of my relevant achievements:

- Created and controlled the budget for the oil field fluids operations I worked in. I managed costs in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, optimizing the expenses of fluid manufacturing and characterization.
- Mentored over 50 Junior Engineers at more than 500 drilling wells. I also supervised the operational teams of workers in charge of handling the drilling fluids, ensuring they were up to date with safety and quality practices, by means of talks and training sessions.
- I was directly responsible for the drilling fluids operation. This means I report to my company's senior management and the field's company man. I'm in charge of solving all operational issues during the drilling process linked to the fluids.
- Capacitated in more than 50 safety courses and certifications, keeping up to date with the latest standards.

Sr. Drilling and Completion Fluids Engineer

Q'Max works to provide drilling and completion fluids services for Oil companies such as Ecopetrol, Parex, GeoPark and others.

After learning about chemical products and the manufacturing of fluids, I enrolled in a full-time position working at oil fields. As a Drilling and Completion Fluids Engineer I:
- Worked on-site at 5 different regions in Colombia, visiting over 100 oil wells that posed different challenges and particular needs.
- Manufactured the fluids needed for the operation. I supervised 600-3000 barrels during the drilling process.
- Controlled fluid properties to ensure operational requirements. During this time I created daily technical reports for clients and operators. I made sure that the operation was completely documented.

Drilling and Completion Fluids Engineer

Q'Max works to provide drilling and completion fluids services for Oil companies such as Ecopetrol, Parex, GeoPark and others.

I worked in the design, manufacturing, characterization, and testing of drilling fluids; including the analysis of their physical and chemical properties. Laboratory equipment calibration. Preparation and presentation of result-oriented engineering reports. Comprehension of additives and their behaviors, as well as their purpose in drilling fluids.

Hello! I'm Juan, and I'm very passionate about the Oil & Gas industry. My background in petroleum engineering and environmental management has led me to specialize in drilling and completion fluids. I supervise the drilling and production processes in oil wells, ensuring the quality of the products I supervise and the safety of the corresponding operations. I like off-shore work and particularly enjoy discussing renewable energies.

When I'm not at an oil well I like to invest and teach about crypto. I have multiple investment portfolios for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, NFTs, among others. I teach people about earning passive income with crypto and I manage several accounts, focusing on profitability.
