Is everything a choice or luck? 


Do you feel lucky? - the famous Dirty Harry quote..

Luck be a lady tonight.. - a line in a song by Frank Sinatra. 


This week, I had and will have opportunity to speak in front of young Singaporean who is completing their National Service. Then they are out to the world to 

1- find themselves?

2- fend for themselves?

3- start their path towards income generation?

4- finally live their lives on their own terms? 

What prepares them? NS? Institute of Learnings? Family? Friends? 


The world of “jobs”, “career”, or perhaps even business, is a new frontier for them as compared to the time of their parents. 


Markets are volatile 

War changing economics

Technology emerging to make mandane work redundant. 

What’s for them? 


Just in my view it’s the dream in their hearts that shines and guide them towards the outcome they want. This will primarily be enable by the skills set they have obtained to this point to kick off. 

Above all, they have to self lead.

This golden arch has taught a lot about leadership started with Ray. 

Today it has another lesson. I am not a paid burger man BUT I will take a big bite out of it.

What are you talking about? Be careful who you speak to…


This reel came into my feed and it truly reminds on what we say… people repeat to others to build relationship, to build connections BUT it is truth. 

The master acted or rather reacted and bye bye Ox. 


Has this happened to us? To me? Yes. I lost a large portion of my time investment. 

Have I reacted simply based on hearsay? Thankfully, I humbled myself to face the horses mouth. 

It was an extremely difficult conversation BUT I glad I did.

Starting off Monday running….


I learnt an amazing new motto over the weekend when I attended Build Belonging Build Revenue…


The motto..

“ I am here for a good time, NOT for a long time..” I will tag the owner to this in my comment.


It was an amazing 2 hours for me as it refreshed me with ideas and woke me up to what I was not doing.


The audience showed me that I have raised my bar while NOT acknowledging the HEIGHTS I have scaled. 


In terms of 2026, for my friends in career mode, acknowledge your track record. You are NOT where you started. 

You have come 1 year, 5 years, 10years, towards 62… the game is not over yet.

Are you the smartest one in the room?



There are days in training when the assigned trainer may not be the only expert in the room. 


How then ought a trainer respond?

In my opinion only, accept humbly the feedback that comes. It’s a learning on what can be improved when one can see value from feedback that sting..! 


Yes, it can bash the ego. Life was not meant to be silk sailing. It’s meant to be lived with joy and bruises. That’s learning.. 


I ought to have paid a more serious attention to warning signals prior to the training as well as subtly during and NOT simply assuming it’s business as usual. 


Be aware. Acknowledge “spider” sense. 

Who knows.

What does this image share? 


Some of those with the most at times lack control. I was behind this red along the road at a given speed admirable as the driver sped up after a corner and to perhaps his/ her horror, the light turn red as the car. 

In leadership, we need to know most importantly situational awareness.

Our environment is changing of late with new acronyms and technology YET the process of change remains. 


VUCA is more evident today then in the 60s with aging populations in Asia and dwindling birth rates. It’s time for clarity then fear of a.i. tools.


Start with what is embedded in MS365.

It’s meant as its name, to co-pilot with you and give you back perhaps work life balance or secure your post when age of your colleagues crosses the line.

Everything we do have a flip side… 


DISC- quite a favorite among the behavioural profile tool..


D - action taker yet can be seen by others as dominating 

I - people matter in the process yet some sees it as being too emotional 

S - humble, accommodating, yet seen as inability to take charge, 

C - process driven, systematic yet some seen as inflexible 

All requires belief. 


All have meaning because choose to give it. 

Toxic environment, toxic leadership is the same. We either choose to embrace on how to be better with communication or be a victim. 

As a ENTJ, I will stand my ground and find the possible truce. 

Gather my own support and seek collaboration. 

There is a solution to everything, if we choose “how to..”
