As the People & Operations Director, I have the privilege of playing a pivotal role in shaping our company culture, leading our human resources strategy, looking after both permanent staff and contractors, and ensuring operational efficiency. Our values and ethos are integral to my role, and Corporate Social Responsibility is an important and exciting outwards expression of these. I am responsible for operational excellence: overseeing day to day business operations, optimising efficiency and effectiveness, and ensuring that we embrace our value of innovation internally, continually improving the way we work. 

Ultimately I am passionate about seeing people fully realise their potential, and seeing our company grow, and our team and our clients thriving as a result!

To every coaching encounter I bring my wealth of experience of working with people from all walks of life, and draw upon a wide variety of methods and tools in order to work flexibly, quickly and effectively.

Achievements:
•	First Executive Coach at QAA; introduced coaching more broadly focusing beyond performance improvement, on career enhancement, on effective management and on stress management.
•	Introduced first ever Mental Health awareness training for staff and managers to facilitate a healthy working environment and support employee well-being.
•	Responsible for ensuring the achievement of initial Investors in People accreditation in July 2007, followed by Bronze level achiement beyond the basic IIP Standard and then Silver award at the most recent assessment.
•	Created and launched the Career Development scheme, including providing advice, planning tools, interview support and career coaching (August 2009)
•	Introduced the concept of Advanced Users to encourage staff to use their breadth of skills (IT and foreign languages, as well as office, writing and presentation skills) to support their peers in real time.

Key responsibilities:
•	Establish and manage all aspects of the Learning and Development function from strategic planning to budget management, including overseeing all processes and administration
•	Responsible for ensuring the achievement of Investors in People accreditation in July 2007
•	Leadership and management training - including: assessment of current levels of skills and climate; specification of development required; management of tender process and adherence to procurement requirements; collaboration with suppliers to design, deliver and evaluate learning interventions.
•	Attain and maintain Investors in People accreditation aiming for further improvement at every assessment 
•	Executive coaching and specific skills coaching for staff 
•	Provide consultancy to managers on all aspects of learning and development
•	Design and deliver (or commission as appropriate) bespoke courses, from Dealing with uncertainty, to Recruitment and Selection; from Assertiveness to Working with Respect.

Learning & Development Manager

WorkDirections UK (now Ingeus)

Coached my own caseload of clients (receiving health-related benefits for illness or disability) and supported them into work.

Developed and facilitated training workshops for clients and advisors including but not limited to Positive Outlooks, Action Planning, CV Writing, Confidence Building and Competency Based Interview Skills.

Used a variety of tools to engage clients on this voluntary programme, such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), action planning and coaching techniques.

Achievements:
•	Successfully coached over 55 long term unemployed or disabled clients back to work
•	Achieved a sustainability rate of 83%, one of the highest in the company
•	Selected to be a facilitator for the rigorous recruitment activities and induction
•	Created a variety of training workshops for colleagues and clients

* HR Officer: Part of a Human Resources team of four, covering 500+ employees

* Sales Support Executive: The link between sales teams across Europe and in the UK

Fundamentally a 'people person', specialising in looking after our people at Aston Reach - our permanent staff and our contractors; individual and corporate performance and development. Our values and ethos are integral to my role, and CSR is an important and exciting part of my People and Operations role.
