In my 8th grade graduation profile, I wrote that I wanted to be a "computer programmer" when I grew up. My path shifted after that and I went on to get a masters in Social Work, and spent 10 years working with children, families, and adults as a therapist. Through that degree and the subsequent experience I became an expert on human interaction & communication, knowledge that has continued to serve me since. From there I went on to be certified as an Educator. I spent 9 years as a Special Education teacher. Following completion of a masters in Mathematics Education, I spent the last 3 years as a high school math teacher. Through that degree and the subsequent experience, I became an expert on how humans take in information and learn, storytelling, presentations, and how to retell complex information is a way that a listener can not only easily take in, but retain. My pull to technology never went away through all these experiences, and while I did get to do a lot with tech as an educator especially, I since decided that I wanted to honor my draw to it and find a new path, which ultimately led me to a career as a Solution Consultant.
