I come from a background of people and project management in the voluntary sector and more recently, I have been working with intermediate adult English language students online, coaching them to grow their confidence, fluency and abilities in order to pass examinations or grow their competence in a business environment - interviews, making presentations and communicating in international companies. Built on the foundation of my ILM Level 7 Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring Leaders and Managers, I launched my coaching business - I have been shaping and growing my holistic coaching practice - working specifically with women - using my solution focused skills to add value to my clients. Communicating positively - one of my clients had recently been promoted at work into a senior role in the marketing sector and she felt that she was not able to talk confidently with her boss, in fact on one or two occasions, they had argued and she was feeling concerned that this was going to stand in the way for her growth in the workplace. Through our sessions, we started to consider the role she was doing, the competencies she needed but also how could she contribute to the work her boss was doing and how could conversations have better outcomes. I am excited to report that she now has so many opportunities to share her strategic ideas in a way that her boss finds helpful and she is lining herself up for the next step on her career ladder, with my support and coaching. Making decisions about the future - a coaching client came to me for advice about her career journey initially but it quickly became evident that personally, she was facing some relationship dilemmas - these were impacting her coping mechanisms in her workplace and so we re-focused on thinking through some options and the coaching sessions gave her that reflective space to consider the best way forward. She is now feeling that she has a clear plan of action and in her job too, she is more able to focus and perform to an even higher standard. I am so excited about my business because adding value to women across all areas of their lives but particularly in the workplace and career is so rewarding, my solution focused approach restores hope, empowers women by allowing them to recognise their skills and strengths and to build a clear vivid picture of their preferred future.
