Frustrated with the awkwardness of communicating with customers on video? Miss the deep connections you were able to form in-person? Losing deals you would have won before you went virtual? I get it. Communicating on Camera is an Unnatural Act. As an actor struggling to transition from the stage to screen, I felt the same way. My first few auditions were disasters. I didn’t win a single dollar role until I took an on-camera training program and learned the techniques necessary to engage and connect with an audience on-camera. Soon I was booking roles in national television commercials, films and television shows, including HBO’s “Sex and the City.” After the pandemic, I watched as the entire sales community struggled with these same challenges. I read countless confusing and often conflicting articles on how to sell on video – most of it from people who have never worked in front of a camera. So I sprung into action and created the Selling on Video Master Class – a self-paced video course based on my experience working on-camera. Through the Course, coaching, and workshops, my goal is to empower you to transcend mundane and awkward virtual communication, and confidently connect with your buyers and stand out from your competition. In my interactive workshops and keynotes, I use proven acting and improvisational techniques that help sellers break out of old patterns that are holding them back and internalize effective new skills and behaviors. My Acting for Sales blog, has been named a “Top 50 Sales & Marketing Blog” for seven years running. Prior to founding Performance Sales & Training, I spent 20 years walking the talk as a sales leader in a variety of competitive industries, including technology, media and real estate, including an interesting stretch as Director of Sales for The National Enquirer and Star Magazine. As a professional actor, I performed in over 75 plays, commercials and television shows, including HBO’s Sex & the City.
