My role as Team Manager makes me responsible for the delivery of all of the transformation projects run by a virtual team spread across the UK, Hungary and Spain. 

Programmes range from Executive Reporting to Commission scheme design and Target setting, and require coordination of activities across multiple functions and Business Units working to strict deadlines. The programmes are sponsored at CEO and Executive level and have high visibility across the business.

Transformation Team Manager

The Strategic Programme team under Sales Operations focus on long-term business changes to boost sales performance across the Group Enterprise function, which boasts 800+ sales people ranging from Account Managers to Solution Specialists.

Programmes range from Executive Reporting to Compensation Plan design and Target setting, and require coordination of activities across multiple functions and Business Units working to strict deadlines. The programmes are sponsored at CEO and Executive level and have high visibility across the business.

Strategic Programme Manager

Responsibilities

- Accountable for distributing €3bn worth of targets across 800 sales people globally
- Owner of all Vodafone Global Enterprise Sales Operations processes, including documenting all processes from scratch and putting policies in place to govern and improve efficiency

Achievements
- Was given a Quarterly department-wide award after the first cycle in charge of Target Setting
- Target setting process timescale reduced from 4 months to 2 months due to improvements in the process and communication
- Provided concept and design input into a new tool to allow more efficient revenue and sales forecasting
- Documented all Sales Operations Processes and rolled them out to our teams in 4 out of 6 regions

Sales Operations Analyst

Vodafone

Responsibilities
- Rollout of lead generation tool, 
- Designing/Improving operational processes concerning sales software, such as SalesForce
- Designing process for Joiners, Movers and Leavers and executing on an operational basis

Achievements:
- Lead generation tool increased pipeline by £5.9m in 3 months through heavy sales and management engagement (team meetings, webinars, presentations and sales conference presence)
- Tool was given funding for development of further iterations by Head of Enterprise Sales

Sales Tools Process Specialist

Responsibilities:
- Defining a strategy for gaining insight from end users and key contacts as well as internal stakeholders
- Implementing new initiatives to drive customer engagement with Service Management
- Obtaining, Collating and reporting on customer feedback from some of the company's biggest accounts, notably in the Banking and Finance sector
- Delivering presentations on outcome of customer feedback to strategic and operational managers

Achievements
- Launched surveys and focus sessions with customers to gain insight into where our operating model was working and where it could be improved
- Increased NPS by 15% within 3 months due to increased engagement and more personal relationship with customer contacts

Onsite Customer Experience Manager

- Management of the online presence of Vodafone within the Multi-Retail consumer segment, including some of the largest retailers in the UK
- Improving sales through promotions and website development
- Analysing reporting and volumetrics to assess the effect of initiatives on sales

Indirect Sales Specialist

- Design and implementation of ITIL Service Support models
- Collaborating with Technical, Sales and Service teams to establish practical and effective processess for change and transition
- Working with various stakeholders, each with different requirements and preferences in order to establish mutually beneficial processes

Here are my predictions for 2026:
- HubSpot will bring out their own DealRoom within Commerce Hub which will move the space
- Vendori will gain traction and become a well known CPQ/DealRoom player
- DealHub will struggle to retain customers as other (simpler) options become more prevalent


Two things to note:

😥 Unfortunately Salesforce and Nue.io both declined to demo their products without me having a live Salesforce environment. This is a big shame, as I would have loved to include them in the comparison. Both are only compatible with Salesforce, but Nue in particular would have competed in a few categories. 

⚠️ This is a subjective review of the platforms that were most recommended or were most visible when researching. If you are reviewing options and would like to know which vendors to review, I'd be happy to look at your use case and highlight the companies you should look into.
