• Maintained legacy Objective-C, and added new features in Swift, to Wurrly Karaoke/WURRLYedu iOS apps. Was laid off due to COVID-19.
• Upgraded to iOS 13 SDK well before deadline, including Dark Mode.
• Used AVFoundation and AudioKit to rewrite app recording features, including audio filtering effects.
• Added Clever single sign-on to WURRLYedu. Took initiative to improve UX by forking Clever's SDK to support in-app authentication.
• Reduced crash rates ~30% by fixing concurrency issues.
• Setup MS App Center/Fastlane for continuous builds.
• Significantly improved system security through adding OAuth to the existing Java/Play Framework API, as well as iOS.
• Implemented Firebase SMS login, and Sign in with Apple, in both the API and iOS.

Sabbatical

•	Broadened iOS/Swift 5 skills by developing open-source projects (see Projects below).
•	Took an extended road-trip to hike and photograph national parks.
•	Explored new places on several international trips.

Helix

•	Member of founding teams for both the highly-rated Helix iOS App, and the Helix iOS SDK.
•	Extensive experience with Swift, Xcode, UIKit, REST, Redux, deep linking, and numerous other iOS paradigms.
•	Built full-stack push notification system in Golang/PostgreSQL, and front-end web interfaces in ReactJS.
•	Minimized bugs with thorough unit, integration, and UI tests.
•	Automated deployments of in-house and App Store releases with Fastlane/Fabric Beta.

Software Engineer

Jiff, Inc.

•	Developer for Challenges iOS health motivation app (now part of Jiff iOS app). 
•	Created dynamic UIs in Swift with Interface Builder, Auto Layout, and Core Animation, while maintaining legacy Objective-C code.
•	Stored REST responses in Core Data, and supported language localization.
•	Wrote thorough unit tests, including use of protocol mocks.
•	Handled biweekly App Store submissions.
•	Diligently keep ticket statuses up-to-date in Jira.

iOS Engineer

Medtronic

•	Developed iOS, web, and desktop applications in an FDA-regulated environment.
•	Led development of REST communications for Guardian Connect iOS, including managing a remote team in Europe.
•	Solved complex system-level challenges with MiniMed Connect iOS, while keeping to a tight project schedule.
•	Built and owned a lab data system that eliminated constant, costly delays. Included a MySQL database, C# web and desktop apps, JSP/Tomcat server backend, and HTML/jQuery/AJAX frontend.
•	Wrote 300+ pages of requirements, design documents, and acceptance test cases, as well as Python test scripts.
•	Volunteered to interview and mentor software interns for two summers.

For my thesis project, built a JSP/Tomcat/Apache XMLSchema website for easy generation of HTML forms.
