Provide an independent assessment of the performance of assigned IT programs and conducting activities related to the detection and prevention of fraud, waste, and abuse.

Specific areas of audit: penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and social engineering. 

Collateral duties include: Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for the OIG Audit Lab, and member of the Assistant Inspector General for Financial and Information Technology's Human Capital Committee.

Assists Chief Information System Security Officer (CISSO) with information system security, certification and accreditation processes and other mandated security assessments. Works with IT system administrators and engineers to resolve security weaknesses following system audits and risk assessments. Administers access controls through user accounts and password management. Gathers market research for new security products to address HHS security and business requirements. Reimages servers and computers to comply with the highest security requirements.

Conducts otoacoustic emissions (OAE) testing on newborns and screening audiograms on military and civilian populations. Trains and teaches medics and new hires in the same skill sets.

Served as a phlebotomist in the Soldier Readiness Processing Center, as well as providing medical technician services to the Mother/Baby Unit.

Highlights include: 3 deployments with increasing responsibilities each time (junior team member, lead team member, shift leader), Schools and Training NCO, and Squad Leader. Held numerous medical certifications to include BLS, ACLS, Certified Phlebotomist, EMT-B, NRP and PALS. Attended specialized training for burn wound care, modular hospital tentage organizational layout and design, and Chemical Casualty Course.
