Joe serves as ProvINET's Director of Consulting Services and is a vital resource to clients in assisting them with strategic planning and the implementation of contemporary technologies. He works onsite with clients and well represents the personal approach that ProviNET takes with empowering all of their customers. Joe also provides leadership for ProviNET's vision, and leads all aspects of ProviNET's managed services and long term care strategies.

Joe has been working as an IT professional since 2002 and started with the ProviNET team in 2006. He also holds several software and hardware certifications and is considered a valuable source of expertise in strategic planning as it relates to technology. Joe is another ProviNET employee dedicated to providing clients with the best IT support and guidance available.

Director of Consulting Services

Joe serves as ProviNET's Director of Managed Services and is a vital resource to their clients in assisting them with strategic planning and the implementation of contemporary technologies in order to help clients remain an efficient and viable force in the healthcare field. He works onsite with clients and well represents the personal approach that ProviNET takes with empowering all our customers. Joe also serves several long-term care clients in the role of Director of Information Technology, where he is able to provide them with special attention and guidance in effectively applying current technology to their companies to ensure competiveness in the industry.

Joe is a graduate of Trinity Christian College where he was rewarded his Bachelor’s degree of Science in Management Information Technology. He was been working as an IT professional since 2002 and started with the ProviNET team in 2006. He also holds several software and hardware certifications and is considered a valuable source of expertise in strategic planning as it relates to technology. Joe is another ProviNET employee dedicated to providing clients with the best IT support and guidance available.

I serve as the director of information systems for two of the larger clients that ProviNET Solutions has. 

VibrantLiving Communities is a Continued Care Retirement Community headquartered in Downers Grove, IL with locations throughout the Midwest and Pacific Northwest.

Trinity Christian College is a four year Liberal Arts college located in Palos Heights, IL about 20 miles southwest of Chicago, IL. Trinity provides its students with excellent higher Christian education in the reformed tradition. As the Director of Computer Services, I oversee much of the campus network infrastructure and computer services staff.

Joe served as the (virtual) Director of Technology for Trinity Christian College, guiding the organization through the development and execution of a strategic technology plan. Through this effort, the college was able to implement many enterprise-grade technology solutions from a systems, networking and enterprise application perspective. Joe assisted in the development of an IT Governance framework at the college and oversaw the management of the IT, Audio Visual, Copy/Print and Mail Services departments.

Joe Velderman is an experienced technologist and innovator in senior living, post-acute healthcare and home and community based services. He has served as virtual Chief Information Officer for several multi-site organizations, leading them through core enterprise software implementations, infrastructure improvements, and governance establishment.

Joe is very passionate about technology, viewing technical tools as a means of increasing efficiency and improving intelligence. He understands that technology needs to be effective, and if it is not, users will go back to using pen and paper. As a consultant Joe worked with many organizations to establish technology strategies, assist in IT governance, and mentor other technology leaders.

Joe regularly contributes thought leadership, speaking at state and national trade associations, contributing to white papers, and leading educational webinars.

The conversation was filled with insight, curiosity, and a shared sense of excitement about the responsible, human-centered future of AI in our field.

It’s inspiring to see so many leaders leaning in—asking the right questions, exploring new possibilities, and reimagining how technology can enhance the lives of older adults and those who serve them.
