I write, educate and consult about business data skills and projects. The backstory is that I picked up on data analysis and programming with Microsoft Excel and MatLab while earning a civil engineering degree at the University of Arizona. I found footing in my career building complex and critical data infrastructure for companies – mainly reporting, analytics and process automation. In 2017 I ventured out as a boutique business data consultant where I worked directly with business owners and executives on a wide swath of projects in both type and complexity. While honing my skills with data tools (spreadsheets, VBA, SQL, etc) along the way, I also learned the fundamental data concepts that get results in a highly competitive data-driven business landscape.
