• Led the data collection for a 285-foot (model scale) concrete arch dam physical scale model study. 

•Wired the data collection system with over 20 pressure transducers and collected transient pressure data and head/discharge data. Provided training to 6 undergraduate students on data collection and completed quality assurance/control on acquired data.

Project Engineer

After I realized I *enjoyed* doing my fluid mechanics homework this semester, I landed this dream student job working for a non-teaching faculty who operated as an industry consultant providing specialized physical scale modeling and flowmeter calibration and testing services. 

•Tested hundreds of residential, industrial, and commercial flowmeters (magnetic, ultrasonic, positive displacement etc). 

•Conducted field assessment of agricultural flow measurement devices (weirs, Parshall flumes, ramp flumes etc) throughout the state of Utah. 

•Summarized and presented 8 years of field data. 

•Co-authored journal paper on magnetic flow meter accuracy downstream of 90-degree elbow. 

•Began learning CFD (STAR-CCM+) and running simulations for flows downstream of a 90-degree elbow. 

•Secured $4500 for personal research project to be completed as undergraduate.
