- Enforce university and residence hall rules and regulations.
- Remain available to residents while on-call.
- Assist in supervising residents and responding to complaints, reports, requests, and emergencies.
- Submit reports on infractions, violations, and safety issues.

- Inform residents about relevant campus and local activities.
- Facilitate resolution of disagreements between residents.
- Manage front desk and signs students and visitors in according to security protocols.

Resident Assistant

- Assist University Admission Team by leading personalized campus tours with a two hour duration for a group of 10-25 perspective students
- Conduct the annual SUNY New Paltz Open House, Accepted Students Day on a team of 30 Student Ambassdors. 
- Lead semesterly events held for incoming students and families by regulating parking, set-up, and providing essential information and direction
-Provide exceptional customer service to incoming students, families and faculty

Worked with department leaders of the Educational Opportunity Program to on-board over 200 college freshmen into the University internal system.

Summer Orientation Liaison

Kalia Wamer is a media and communications professional with extensive experience in both in-house roles and agency settings. She specializes in integrated marketing, social media, and brand strategy.

Currently, Kalia serves as an Assistant Campaign Manager at Blue Hour Studios, a social-first agency. In this role, she supports marketing campaigns with a focus on influencer marketing.

Kalia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Digital Media Management and Black Studies from SUNY New Paltz. She is passionate about using her skills as a digital storyteller to make a positive impact on diverse communities.
