I see lot of B2B marketers and companies focusing on KPIS instead of focusing on the real mover of the performance from their Gooogle ads campagns

CPC, CTR, CPL, improving all the metrics on Google dashboard won't give you more ROI.

We leave in the era of the machine learning bidding and this means that the conversion signal you feed the networks to train their algorithm is the most important element.

In fact is not so complicated to get tons of leads on Google ads. Tell to google to get leads, and it'll find them but there is no guarantee that it will lead to any meaningful business outcomes.

It's a garbage-in, garbage-out scenario.

Make sure you're focusing your marketing on actual results, not vanity metrics.

Leverage exclusions Linkedin Ads targeting and your budget will be grateful.
Why? Because LinkedIn tends to cheat.

Even if you don’t include some options in your targeting the platform can still drop it in your audience unless you’re excluding them.

For example, even if you're not including "entry" in your seniority level you could still end up advertising to many members of this segment in your targeted audience. The same goes for company size or job functions.

In other cases, you may just wouldn't even think that LinkedIn targets a specific (and irrelevant) characteristic. So if you’re not checking on these, you may miss the fact that LinkedIn may not be on the best track. 

Discover it by clicking the on “Demographics” in your LinkedIn ads Dashboard, spot the segment to exclude and refine your audience targeting with the relevant exclusions. Exclusions can be more efficient than inclusions.
