Beginning as an industry professional in Business & Marketing, I entered career tech education when I joined a Career Services team to provide career exploration and planning services to K-12 students in a variety of districts throughout Fairfield, Franklin, & Pickaway counties. I assisted with creating, promoting, and providing career exploration opportunities for students ranging from Summer Camps, Open Houses, Visitation Days, and New Student Celebrations. Presented with an opportunity to support Work-Based Learning measures, I transitioned to the role of Career Readiness Coordinator. During my time serving as the Career Readiness Coordinator, I worked to provide professional development to staff, students, and business partners regarding WBL compliance measures in Ohio, district processes, and tracking work hours for students who are participating in WBL. With a directive from leadership, I worked to convert a district from paper-process to a digital management & tracking system, through the implementation of Transeo. My passion for students and business helps bridge the gap between classroom instruction and industry needs to assist with building the pipeline for the next generation workforce. Today, I have the privilege of helping schools throughout the US scale their Work-Based Learning programs, create a change management plan for staff, students, and business partners, and streamline their program processes for success.
