I believe in continuous growth and discovery! If I have seen further than others, it is upon standing on the shoulder of giants! In my Toastmasters group, I am known as the resident philosopher. Likely because I studied philosophy and humanities with a master educator and philosopher, Roger Weir for 15 years in Los Angeles. Much of what I do today, is inspired by my philosophical education and a passion for empowering people to share what they know with others! Roger based his education on the knowledge acquired from the greatest minds in the history of mankind and presented every Saturday at 10 am in the tradition of ancient Greek philosophers. He used his personal library, which at that time we met was around 40 thousand books as reference for his lectures. Once I asked him if he had read all the books in his library and he said he can index them all! My solutions are designed to let people curate, index, and share their research in context! I chose the name Optimal Access for my company because optimal access to information is a moving target. Our vision is to make it easy for anyone to build optimal access to curated research. **What I do, Who do I help** I am an avid user of my own tools because I believe we must build things we want to use ourselves. Over the years I have worked and marketed our products to a diverse group of information workers. Our Optimal Desktop solution built on the same philosophy in our first incarnation had hundreds of thousands of users, an active community of over 12K people, and major corporate clients. Today, with an explosion of content and fragmented tools, our vision of curation is needed more than ever!
