My role entails show-casing the science behind the new medicines/vaccines being developed at Sanofi towards a broad range of external stakeholders from the business analyst community to scientists/physician organizations, innovation partners and patient groups. It is my responsibility to build a compelling and credible communication strategy that brings the hope and innovation behind the company's scientific research to life for both scientists and non-scientists around the world. My remit covers Sanofi's pipeline pursuits in immuno- and molecular-oncology, immunology, vaccines, as well as diabetes and cardiovascular disease areas.

Associate V.P. Science Communications

My role is to drive the strategy and global launch execution of the communications on the world's first vaccine approved for the prevention of dengue fever while managing issues that could impact Sanofi Pasteur's Corporate Image and Reputation. The initial launch roll out includes endemic countries in Latin America and Southeast Asia and will eventually likely also involve US and European markets as the global reach of dengue burden expands.

Stemming from the complexity of dengue infection and new data on the vaccine released in November 2017 on the vaccine, this role requires extensive crisis communication and issues management expertise. In addition, the vaccine will be introduced using a novel paradigm of 'pre-vaccination screening' strategy recommended by the World Health Organization which requires strong communications to build public understanding and acceptance to this novel perception of the role of vaccination in the global fight against this, often debilitating, disease.
