• Massage Envy (#1 provider of massages in the U.S. through 1100 franchises) created this 18-month in-house position for me after I represented them in litigation at DLA Piper
•  Primary lawyer supporting marketing team.  Partnered with marketing team on designing and implementing promos, campaigns, influencers, social, digital, POS, etc.  Worked with outside counsel to ensure compliance with FDA and FTC regulations.
• Partnered with cross functional teams (innovation, retail/services, marketing, IT, finance, ops) on new service/product launches
• Advised employee brand team on joint employment issues
• Drafted/negotiated key vendor contracts
• Partnered with outside counsel on CPRA and other privacy compliance 
• As one of only four lawyers at Massage Envy, often acted as a generalist

· DLA Piper handpicked me as a litigator to join their franchise team (within the IP Group), the only Band 1 firm in Chambers Franchising - USA Nationwide
· Represented more than 25 franchisors, including the world’s most famous franchisors as well as emerging franchisors and the International Franchise Association
· Responsible for case management (strategy, budgeting, supervising lawyers/professionals) and in-the-weeds work, from pre-litigation counseling through appeal, with ample ADR along the way  
·Worked on both large actions (class actions, franchisee association actions) and smaller individual actions, on both plaintiff and defense side 
·Legal claims included breach of contract, IP, statutory violations, fraud/tort, employment, vicarious liability, and more
· Counseled clients on statutory compliance, joint employment, misclassification, vicarious liability, and more
· Conducted due diligence for acquisitions of franchisors, to identify most significant “red flags”
· One of three DLA Piper lawyers firmwide selected for Hastings Leadership Academy for Women
