Acquired content for print and online publications in hematology/oncology, cardiology, dermatology, geriatrics, toxicology (Goldfrank's Toxicologic Emergencies, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th editions, Goldfrank's Manual of Toxicologic Emergencies, 1/e and Goldfrank's Study Guide).  

Launched and managed the acquisition, curation, and publishing of content on the following sites: Accesscardiology.com (2016-2020), Accesshemonc.com (2016-2020) and Accessdermatologydxrx.com (June 2020-September 2020).

Developed and launched the beta version of hemonctherapy.com in June 2020. Beta included combination chemotherapy regimens, a personalized cancer treatment tool, patient medication education handouts, ASCO guidelines, cases with MCQs, and a discussion board for healthcare providers/users.

Collaborated with digital platform managers to identify and ensure appropriate enhancements and the growth of successful online resources for medical professionals. Worked with leading healthcare specialists and in-house/external technology and platform management experts to develop authoritative and creative new content and solutions for online learning.  Developed and expanded the hematology-oncology portfolio in print and online.

•Created a compelling partnership and distribution deal with EBN Health to provide content in oncology for Accesshemonc.com.

Product Lead/Senior Content Acquisitions Editor--Clinical Medicine

Managed group of development editors (8) who were responsible for evaluating medical, pharmacy, nursing, allied health, print and digital content. Managed development, editing, and rights and permissions teams for approximately 120 titles per year. Personally developed 24 high-revenue titles in clinical medicine, basic science, and pharmacy titles annually. 

Collaborated closely with authors, acquisitions editors, production editors, rights and permissions and freelance editors.

Managing Editor--Development, Editing, Content Licensing (Print and Digital)

Reviewed copy editing, proofreading, and indexing of manuscripts. Responsible for project management of  medical content and manuscripts from development until the books were published. Worked closely with acquisitions editors, contributors, and editors to ensure timely delivery of bound books.

I was responsible for the project management of large clinical medical books from manuscript through printed book. Reviewed copy editing, proofreading, and indexing. Performed additional production-related duties as follows: art sizing/layout, design, and specing. Hired and trained all freelance indexers for the production editing group.
