As Director of Communications and Events, I assist with the development and implementation of new communications strategies for the club and its' stakeholders and provide oversight of ABYC's social activities.

Provide market analysis and develop critical relationships to assist with proposed business expansion into Western US States with emphasis on California, Arizona, Oregon and Washington.  

Activities included discovery of business requirements by state, county and/or region; pricing, distribution, and tactical analysis of key market competitors; development of critical factories, transportation partners, installation crews and trade partners by region; development of internal pricing and communication strategies; estimating and bidding for commercial and government projects; materials sourcing by region; discovery of inventory and land-lease acquisition opportunities; regional support for on-site project management of installations; and sales training for new regional position.

Target markets: education, medical clinics, multi-family housing, and commercial building leasing.  Efforts contributed to over $5M of organic growth over 18months.

NAHB Remodelers is the leading professional organization for remodelers. As a member of the Board of Trustees, I meet with remodeling industry leaders from around the country to address the needs of home-owners through contractor eduction, legislative representation, and industry research.  Our mission is professionalism. Through our code of ethics, business, and technical information, as well as leading education programs, NAHB Remodelers ensures that members have the highest integrity and professional practices.

The Remodelors Council is a professional network of remodelers.  The Remodelors Council offers a venue for professionals and consumers to locate information that will benefit both the buyer and service provider.

During my tenure I helped develop a curriculum for professional remodelers, designers and other industry professionals including Certified Aging In Place (CAPS) designations, Business Management for Building Professionals, Title 24 training, Contract Compliance, Workers' Compensation Strategies, and Introduction to Green Building.  Membership in the Council grew 3-fold, earning our local council a National CADRE Award for Member Services from NAHB Remodelers.
