In this role, I was working directly under the accountant and was being mentored by her. As the Accounts department only consisted of the 2 of us, I was responsible for the accounts receivables, accounts payables, generating invoices, reconciliation, credit control, daily intake and data input. This was very beneficial for me as I was able to take part in the different aspects of accounts rather than focusing on one.

My main role at Islington Mill was an accounting assistant, where I managed day to day accounts for the business such as invoices, bills and reconciliation. I also had a part in some of the admin work which varied from taking phone calls, managing the company CRM and helping out tenants with their queries. Towards the end I also took over the social media platforms and website maintenance.

For this role, I helped customers with their day to day banking. The role consisted of various parts of banking such as basic transactions, banking queries and complaints. I spoke to customers that came from all walks of life and made sure that I gave them the type of customer service they required.

Consumer Claim Line

I was in charge of processing PPI claims from the initial enquiry through to the outcome of the claims. Part of the role also included handling the accounts for the company. In my short time at Consumer Claim Line, I was able to move up to recruitment and manage my own team as well as follow through with the other duties I had.

Always paying specific attention to detail, and having an approachable, cheerful and friendly attitude. I have been able to possess a good understanding of the financial industry by having 5 years experience in the industry as well as gaining the knowledge at University.
