Hi. My name is Karol—few words about me. I have been working in the retail industry for over 20 years. I started my career as a store manager and worked my way up through all the career ladders and positions in retail. I have worked for brands such as Esprit, Hugo Boss, Aldo, River Island, and New Look. At Groupe Seb (Tefal / Home&Cook / WMF), I started as a Retail Manager and later as a Retail Director in Poland & Ukraine. From 2021, I hold the position of International Retail Director at Groupe SEB at the corporate level. I have the pleasure of working with retail departments around the world. The markets it covers are Poland, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, USA, Canada and Brazil. Retail is not only my way of making money; it is, above all, a great passion. I am a practitioner of servant leadership and a big fan of autonomy at work. I have the pleasure of being the co-author of the book "Dbam, czyli rebelia w korporacji” which describes the transformation of Groupe Seb Polska from a classic hierarchical organization to a progressive company with a work culture based on trust, autonomy, and responsibility. This is a collection of experiences that have allowed us to build a great work culture that makes employees happy (a very high Great Place to Work index), and the company's results are above average and are growing dynamically.
