Virtual Facilitation isn't about training; it's about creating space for meaningful connections. My name is Kassy LaBorie, I’m the founder and principal consultant at Kassy LaBorie Consulting, LLC. I am a virtual classroom master trainer, that is, I specialize in developing trainers to be engaging and effective when facilitating programs in platforms such as Zoom, WebEx, Adobe Connect, and more. I have worked with many Fortune 500 firms in a wide range of industries and sectors, including hospitality, pharma, energy, government, NGOs, non-profits, and more. I am an Alumni of Heroic Public Speaking, a public speaking training institute in Lambertville, NJ. In completing HPS GRAD, I received the most substantial and complete public speaking training in the world and have attained the status of a professionally trained public speaker. I also train and coach producers, the virtual classroom trainer’s partner in effective facilitation, as well as instructional designers tasked with creating or converting content for virtual classroom delivery. And I advise learning and development leaders in areas like virtual classroom strategy, technology selection, logistics, and more. In short, I have over 25 years of experience helping organizations, teams, and business professionals successfully move to the live online, virtual environment. Since 2006, I have participated in hundreds of industry conferences as a speaker, expert panelist, and workshop trainer. I am a regular presenter at such events as ATD ICE, ATD TechKnowledge, Training Magazine’s Conference, TechLearn, Learning Solutions, DevLearn, and many more. Prior to launching my consulting practice, I was the Director of Virtual Training Services at Dale Carnegie Training, a consulting service that partnered with organizations to help them develop successful online training strategies. I was also the product design architect responsible for developing the company’s live online training product and experience, which grew to be a $4 million dollar business in only a few years. Prior to this, I was an independent master virtual trainer, a Microsoft software trainer, and a senior trainer at WebEx, where I helped build and deliver training at the WebEx University. I am also a book author, having co-authored Interact and Engage! 75+ Activities for Virtual Training, Meetings, and Webinars (ATD Press, 2023), and author Producing Virtual Training, Meetings, and Webinars: Master the Technology to Engage Participants (ATD Press, 2021).
