My partner and I bought 15 acres of Worcestershire in 2009 where we have created a residential smallholding raising pigs, sheep, bees, chickens, fruit and vegetables. Specific achievements include:

- Building a farm out of a bare field (no water, fencing, buildings, electricity etc)
- Achieving planning consent for a house
- Supplying Little Black Pig butchery with top quality meat from ethically farmed livestock

Set up to offer experienced, flexible project, programme and portfolio services to large consulting firms at the same standard as their own in-house capability. Built on 25 years’ experience of project management including over 10 years consulting experience (6 in top global firms including Arthur Andersen and Deloitte) and 15 years client-side. 

Kate brings a breadth of experience, maturity and a canny ability to get things done with good humour. A natural leader with attention to detail and an eye for interdependencies, Kate has a good understanding of the human factors that are critical to project success.
Comfortable talking to boards about the strategic imperatives through to end users struggling with change, Kate’s communication skills would be an asset to any organization.

Bells Farm Shop

Following the sale of my retail butchery business to Bells Farm Shop I committed to giving the new owners 2 years to help to bed in the business. Specific achievements include:
- doubling of turnover in the butchery business
- establishment of an events program resulting in significant increase in footfall
- establishment of a profitable "pop-up" restaurant - a monthly event consistently selling out and making a profit from day one.

Little Black Pig

Little Black Pig is a retail butchery business that I built from scratch with no experience with the intention 
of making quality meat raised from healthy and happy animals available to ordinary families. Specific achievements included:
-   Building from nowhere to a turnover just shy of £200000
-  Winning over a dozen awards for the quality of product - including "Best Sausage" at Droitwich Food Festival
I sold Little Black Pig in 2017 to a local business Bells Farm Shop.

LCD is a social enterprise providing healthcare services including out of hours GP services across West Yorkshire. I was a non-exec providing commercial and financial input to this fledgling organisation including two years as chair of the Audit Committee establishing financial governance systems.
