The embarrassing truth on how I fixed my health…

This one thing could also be holding you back too…

I have battled with my health ever since I was 16 years old.

Sickness, pain, endometriosis, burnout and fatigue.

You name it, I had it.

Somewhere along the way I got sick of it all (no pun intended).

I had an extremely uncomfortable conversation with myself as to why I was always unwell.

I came to the realisation it was because I loved to play victim and my body was unconsciously keeping me sick.

So I started to take action and things moved crazy fast.

> Dermatitis I had for 2 years on my right hand completely vanished 4 months ago. 

> I have my energy back and am training regularly.

> My stress levels are much lower.

> I haven’t been getting sick and I have massively reduced inflammation in my body (check out a crazy photo in the comments of the changes in my face alone).

It is easy for people to tell someone who is unwell to;
“Just rest more.”
“Stop working so much.”
“Maybe try this juice cleanse?”

What people actually need instead is for them to say;

“Hey you are sick all the time because you let your emotions get in the way of your daily health habits.”

“Hey you are unwell because you are a lazy mofo.”

“Hey it makes total sense why you are sick because you love the attention it gets you.”

There are few people brave enough to have this conversation with themselves but to also have it with others.

But it’s one I refuse to not let go of, because I have seen the impact it has had on my life.

90% of my friends are between the ages 40-65 years old.

I am an old soul and have always struggled to connect with people my age.

At times I find myself feeling like I should have been living life through a different time/ generation.

Could just be because the dating scene is absolutely fried in 2026 and not what it use to be 😅... 

But I wanted to share some things I have noticed from these friendships;

> Pretty well of my friends are really successful business owners that have been in the game for a while, seeing how they treat their clients, team and network has been inspiring to watch.

> They are more "boring" by society's standards (not mine haha) but they are sensible people doing good things. 

> They aren't living a life full of drama and they are leaders in so many ways not just in their businesses but in their family and personal lives.

> I never question where I stand with them, I don't necessarily see them or speak to them every day, but at any given moment in time I need them, they pick up the phone and have always had my back.

> They are generous but protective of their time which I respect.

> They give me hope that there are good men/ women out there and their marriages inspire me.

After recently turning 27, I reflected on the people in my world and who I want to spend more time with moving forward.

I have to admit, it is these friends because of all the reasons I listed above and more!

Have I got any other old souls in my network reading this?

I didn't realise how selfish I had been last year.

Until my team interviewed my clients in September.

I'd told myself I'd be happy scaling to $500k a year.

Keep it small. Keep it manageable.

Then the feedback came in.

95% of my clients are parents.

And every single one talked about the same thing.

> The flexibility to pick their kids up from school.

> The time to be present at dinner.

> The freedom to not miss the moments that matter.

After a lot of reflection about marriage and life, I feel scared to admit that I do want to have children.

And the gravity of helping my clients to be present parents has finally landed.

So now I only have one option but to play bigger!

And to invite you to do the same...

Because I've realised only 3 things truly matter in life:

1. Precious time with our kids.

2. Being a good human.

3. Creating a positive impact.

Would you agree?

As it stands, I currently invest over $5,000 p/m on my health.

You might read that and think, “Kateesha are you crazy?”

But here is how I look at it.

I am my business.

My clients are relying on me to be sharp and provide them with the best support.

I can’t do that feeling ‘meh’.

So I decided to go all in on my health.

That looks like;
> Working with a functional medicine doctor.
> Working with a coach around movement and healing back pain.
> Buying organic food.
> Buying supplements.
> Training at a gym and going to recovery centres.
> Buying good quality water (yes I am a water snob).

I was reflecting on a quote I heard the other day that said;

“Show me where you spend money and I will show you where your priorities are.”

You can talk a big game.

But if your health is shit and you are spending more money trying to look cool than actually feeling well.

That says everything about you, your ego and your priorities.

Anyone else really value their health?

And actually place their money and actions to match it?

2.2 million impressions in 12 months.

Funny to think 5 years ago I started with just 30 connections.

I wish I could share a magic formula on how to hack the algorithm.

But I just showed up and shared what I believed in.

505,966 people saw my content the last year.

That's half a million humans who might've taken one brave action because of something I posted.

And that's what kept me going.

I don’t post and stress about the algorithm. 

I post because I'm madly passionate about seeing people bet on themselves.

Every time someone DMs me saying they finally made that career move, started that business, or just hit publish on their first post...

That's the real metric that matters.

Here's what actually worked:

1. I stopped waiting to feel ready.

2. I shared my real journey, not a highlight reel.

3. I stayed consistent even when posts flopped.

4. I focused on providing value first before asking for business. 

When I first posted (some probably very cringe photo) I didn't imagine it would land me to where I am today.

But that's the thing about taking brave action.

You don't need to see the whole staircase.

You just need to take the first step.

Growing a personal brand becomes 1000 x easier.

When you become someone you are really friggin proud of.

I could give you all the strategy in the world.

> How to master copywriting.
> How to optimise your profile.
> How to message and communicate better.

But if aren’t proud of who you are as a person.

You will show up feeling like a fraud.

When you finally own the shitty parts of yourself and take radical self responsibility. 

It becomes easier to post and interact on here.

Because you are becoming a good person, doing good work and you will want to share that.

I made a decision this year to not only teach strategy but to also introduce a coaching call dedicated to call you forward on your;

> Self sabotaging behaviours.
> Annoying patterns and habits.
> Triggers and projections.

Because once you start to clock these.

Your personal brand.
Your business.
Your life.

Rapidly change.

How serious do you actually take your health?

Well this week I went and got a Vo2 test done TWICE!

Because the person facilitating the first test didn’t feel my results were accurate because it came back in the 90% range💀😂

Not sure whether to be proud or judged haha.

So I went back again today (dare I say feeling extra nervous that I was about to be massively humbled). 💀

Luckily todays test came back very similar.

My ego still in tact.

I live to tell another story.

Was incredibly challenging to push myself to my max with the mask on my face.

I was just shy of hitting 14 k/m.

Do you actually have high standards?

Or do you only have high standards when it is convenient for you too...

It is easy to share that you hold yourself to a high place when life is sunshine and rainbows.

But when shit hits the fan and you don't feel great emotionally, do those standards quickly disappear?

I had a personally challenging week last week.

Going through some friendship breakdowns which has been incredibly sad.

I cried a lot and was also incredibly angry.

All though I was challenged I left the week feeling very proud of how I held myself through it.

> I maintained all my health habits (10k steps, ate incredibly well, trained 4 times, got enough sleep).

> Rejected an invitation to go on a date from someone who was putting in a piss poor effort, despite feeling lonely and really wanting company.

> Showed up in my business, signed and onboarded new clients and had beautiful coaching calls all week.

These weeks really show you how committed you are.

To keep showing up despite not feeling like it.

What is one thing you absolutely commit to no matter if it is rain, hail or shine?

“Are you going to keep fucking around or do you want to get the ball rolling and start seeing results?”

Something I said to a prospect yesterday who had been dancing around growing their personal brand for a while now. 

Despite knowing for a long time they need to do something about it.

Sometimes you just need to call people out.

I will place a disclaimer this is not a bullet proof closing line 😂

Choose your prospects carefully on who you use this one on. 😂

"Is it worth my time growing a personal brand?"

If you give me 60 seconds, I will detail the good and ugly side of growing a personal brand.

**I want to acknowledge this has been my own personal experience of going from 30 connections to 16,356 followers.**

GOOD:
+ My confidence grew not only in business but in my personal life.

+ Growing my personal brand allowed me to scale my business 100% remotely.

+ I have been able to travel without needing to 'ask' for time off and also not feeling like I need to take holidays because I genuinely love what I do.
 
+ I didn't need to go out and network in person anymore which gave me time back to re invest into my clients and the business.

+ If I do go to an event I can walk into a room and there is a good chance people will know me from seeing me online, which makes it easier for me to connect with people because we don't feel like strangers.

+ I help clients all over Australia which is pretty epic in my eyes.

+ I have attracted very down to earth clients that are doing good things in this world.

+ I have made life long friends from LinkedIn.

+ I have generated $650K in revenue on my own with no staff.

+ I receive if not weekly, daily messages from kind humans who have been impacted by my work.

+ Bit of a random one but important to me... I stopped dating losers because my brand gave me the confidence that I could build something without relying on a man who treated me like garbage.


BAD:

- The bigger you grow the more haters and weirdoes you experience, this was a massive shock for me the last 12 months. I doubled my following and the hate that came with it was a surprise.

-  People start to do weird stuff when you grow, your haters slam you in the comments but end up in your DMs 2 months later asking for your help.

- You personally have to work through a lot of insecurities and uncomfortable stuff because when you broadcast your life it challenges you to up level in real life. (I don't see this as a 'bad' thing but more challenging).

- It is a commitment, you can't dip your toes in. If you want results you have to be consistent, to see real results you need to commit 30-60 mins a day.

Like anything, there is always a trade off.

But growing my personal brand changed my life and the benefits have far outweighed the negatives.

Have you recently launched a business and are in the;

“What the fuck have I done phase?”

The business honeymoon period has worn off.

All the hype is gone and now you are staring at your calendar with no appointments booked.

> Tweaking your website.
> Playing around in Canva designing a crappy logo.
> Printing off more business cards that are going to just end up in the bin.

Your business branding isn’t going to save you right now.

Your personal brand is.

It is how I went from being in $50,000 of bad debt to generating $650,000 in revenue.

You have to get down and dirty with the uncomfortable and sometimes boring things.

3 areas in particular you need to lock in on are;

1. Optimising your LinkedIn profile to turn it into a landing page that sells you.

2. Content that starts as a way to build trust but results in inbound leads.

3. A classy outreach strategy that doesn’t involve pitch slapping people.

This work ain’t sexy at times but it sure does work!

Viral content VS thought leadership content.

After generating $650,000 in revenue off the back of my brand, this is what I have come to learn.

You should not be choosing one or the other when it comes to 'viral content' and the perhaps maybe more 'boring thought leadership content'.

You should aim to have both and let me break this down for you to explain why.

> Viral content will grow your following, bring new people into your world and generally builds a likability factor to your brand.

> Thought leadership content is what will convert those followers into people that will buy or invest in you.

What this type of content can look like is;

V- You sharing a new years resolution.
V- You sharing a moment with your family.
V- You sharing a hard time you overcame in business.

L- You sharing about a communication challenge you overcame.
L- You sharing an opinion about something in your industry.
L- You sharing advice or a framework to your network. 

When you have both of these types of content, you grow your followers but also attract inbound opportunities.

What sucks is typically, your thought leadership content will rarely 'perform' better than your viral personal story telling content.

But both are important.

So if the post of you with the kids pops off, but your well thought out leadership one doesn't perform as well.

Just know that this is normal.

But also know, my lowest performing posts are the ones that make me the most $$$$$.

If you have just started to grow your personal brand...

Here are my 2 cents on whether you should do it across multiple channels.

If you are a newbie to posting, I would NOT recommend trying to be on all the platforms to begin with.

Why? 

Because you are going to suck at 1 channel so why suck across all 10?

Kidding but also not really...

The brutal truth is, it takes time to get the swing of;
> Each of the platforms,
> Creating content, 
> Copywriting and 
> Messaging strategies.

One platform can be overwhelming enough and if you try and do 5 others at the same time, you will quit in 3 weeks tops.

Instead this is what I recommend.

> Focus on 1 platform.

> The platform your ideal client is most likely hanging out on.

> Double down on that one platform and once you feel more confident.

THAN you move on to the others.

Please don't overwhelm yourself trying to be everywhere in the early days.
