I currently serve as Partner, Business Development at Rockwood Equity Partners, a private investment firm focused on the lower middle market. I have 25+ years of experience in finance, investments, mergers and acquisitions, corporate development and board membership, working with manufacturing, value-added distribution, and industrial service businesses in select regulated industries. At Rockwood, I lead the deal sourcing strategy and execution, cultivating intermediary and advisor relationships, developing proprietary deal sources, expanding our Rockwood River Guide® network, overseeing our CRM and other platforms for deal origination, marketing and social media, reviewing investment opportunities, managing deal flow, and serving as an investment committee and board member on select transactions. I am proud to work at a firm that takes a values-based approach to sourcing and investing in businesses, and that helps them achieve their full potential by bringing the right resources and expertise to the situation. I am also passionate about biomimicry, the practice of learning from and emulating nature's strategies, as well as global initiatives around people, exploration, the environment and education. Having been in the business world for quite some time, one of the perks I've really come to appreciate is the deep dive into learning about myself. It's been a journey filled with its share of feedback sessions, professional development, and plenty of self-reflection, all of which have helped me hone who I am in this vast professional landscape. I've discovered that I'm a natural connector, a maximizer, and definitely a forward-thinker. I get enjoyment out of lifting people up (and businesses too!) and giving them the support they need to be their best. For me, it's all about teaming up, seeing the bigger picture, and enjoying the ride. And while I definitely relish the journey, I must admit, achieving those hard fought endeavors? Well, it feels pretty good to kick-off a victory lap and appreciate a win.
