👋🏻 Hi, my name is Katie. 🎓 I’m a college graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. 🌆 I currently reside in south-eastern Wisconsin. Although my goal is to move to Denver in the future🗻 📚I have spent 4+ years as an Epic end-user working in a clinical environment. Three of these years I spent working as a medical scribe in an outpatient cardiology clinic, with the goal of reducing the amount of clicks in the EMR (Epic Ambulatory and Cupid) that is burdening our clinicians, while increasing the number of patients the clinical is able to see on a daily basis. 💭Going forward, I am looking to continue this same goal to reduce healthcare worker employees while improving patient outcomes. However I am looking to pivot into the the technical side of healthcare, by working on changing and improving the Epic system as an Epic Analyst or Applications Analyst. Other positions I am interested in include IT Project Coordinator and Clinical Implementation Specialist. I have recently been developing my technical skills through taking Excel and SQL courses online.
