Director of Brand

As the channel lead for the Brand team, I owned all internal creative projects and operated like an agency within the business. If you could read it, see it, or hear it, Brand was behind it. My scope was broad, evolving, and enabled and activated many other functions within Marketing, Sales, Product and Customer Success. In addition to internal production management, I managed PR, content, and social media communications.

I also simultaneously operated as a senior individual contributor to launch and produce the CEO's podcast, Data Unleashed, featuring the best and brightest leaders in procurement and supply chain.

Lessons learned: brand advocacy is critical to the success of each arm of the business. Without consistency, discipline and an intense dedication to detail, the brand story won't be seen, heard or understood. 

Proudest achievement: developing a team of creatives that were hired to execute on the brand to a group of brand experts that could build marketing strategies to support revenue growth.

Senior Brand Manager

My highest priority was to grow pipeline opportunities with campaigns in the sourcing and procurement markets. Secondarily, I managed brand partnerships, their contracts and all of the projects involved.
As the architect for all outbound go-to-market strategies and planning, my role depended on effective collaboration with content, creative, sales, CX, and product.

In my time at RFP360 I took on additional projects to help the business pivot during acquisition. In addition to training the team on the basics of procurement and coaching BDRs through conversations, I also created the customer marketing program used to increase adoption rates, reduce churn and drive brand loyalty.

Lessons learned: how to run cross-departmental projects that rely on the insights and direct contributions from multiple collaborators.

Proudest achievement: confidently presenting procurement concepts and educating the business on market trends, tools and the competitor landscape.

Marketing Campaign Manager

I lead an incredibly talented team of forward-thinkers and risk-takers.  Together, we built a beautiful marketing machine that became more efficient every day as each failure is re-engineered into a success.  I couldn't be more proud of the time I had with the Una marketing team -- FTEs and contractors alike.  We were a force with fire in our bellies.

As Marketing Director, I lead strategy, content, SEO, brand, partnerships, and most importantly -- pipeline generation.  I was also creative director for all design and branding projects, keeping my days balanced between the art and science of marketing.

Add podcast host and producer to that list because multi-tasking is my only existence. I created The Sourcing Hero podcast in 2020 to begin building our community with the procurement, supply chain, and sourcing industries.

I managed and coached 2 FTEs through career progression and promotions. In addition to our small internal team, I also managed five contractors to execute the marketing program established in the first year.

Lessons learned: where I stand on my own core values will always translate to the best decisions in business, even through tough conversations and unfavorable circumstances.

Proudest achievement: Showing my team that good branding expresses the deeper purposes of the business so that customers know it’s not just about making money -- it’s about helping people.

Marketing Director

Initially hired on as the Digital Marketing Manager, my role expanded almost immediately to meet unforseen business needs. With just the help of an in-house developer, within the first 90 days we delivered a rebrand and website rebuild that positioned the company to break into the sourcing market as a category leader.

Over the next few months I designed a demand generation system powered by high-quality content, programmatic advertising, and weekly newsletters. I was also the in-house designer and creative director, so the speed at which our team could continually build the brand enabled rapid growth in business partnerships.

Lessons learned: just because I can do all the things, does not mean I should do all the things. Coordinating with contractors was a lifesaver!

Proudest achievement: launching a branded podcast that helped us build a procurement community, fueled the content machine, and established myself as an advocate for people in the sourcing industries.

I was a one-person marketing department for the first year with a large focus on creating sales enablement resources and distributor communications, de- signing exhibit spaces and growing brand reach through social.

In the second year I took on more responsibility and expanded my reach with other departments. With the support from an FTE and an intern, I was able to join the product development team, lead one or two product launches each quarter, and even designed new packaging.

Lessons learned: the inner-workings of how products are made from their inception in R&D, through the supply chain phases of sourcing materials, the manufacturing of final products, and then how they are warehoused and distributed.

Proudest achievement: building a meaningful community on Instagram with daily engagement and a live show which led to several media partnerships for the company.

Who I am: a seasoned marketing leader with 12 years of varied experience building and growing brands in-house and as a consultant focused on procurement and supply chain technology companies like Una, TealBook, apexanalytix, Requis and RFP360.

What sets me apart: I’ve developed a very deep network within the procurement and supply chain spaces with practitioners, analysts, influencers, and media companies, which does two things for me — dial down quickly on technical ICPs, and move fast when it's time to execute marketing strategy.

How I can be your secret weapon: I'm a creative sniper. A cross between a brand baddie and a product-obsessed analyst with a penchant for quiet competition.
