Reporting to the Research Center Director, my role as Project Officer was to oversee a research budget exceeding USD 6M, as well as provide administrative support to 3 distinct lab directors. Was also tasked with:
📌	Assembling a multi-cultural research team that comprised PhD and Master's degree holders, including the short-listing of candidates, scheduling of interviews, writing interview reports, and working with the HR department to onboard and orient 13 new members. 
📌	Cooperating regularly across departments such as Finance, Dean’s Office, Corporate Communications, Library, and HR to consolidate project goals, research methods, variables, and other parameters. 
📌	Attending training in Fire Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, First Aid for children, data management & data protection, and research ethics to create continuous training programs for laboratory staff, and ensure standardized protocol and guidelines.
📌	Conceptualizing the logistics of 3 public outreach seminars, each catering to 300+ attendees. Responsible for selecting venues, publicizing the events, handling all arrangements for oversees speakers, organizing the catering, and efficiently delegating tasks to ensure seamless events.

Brought on board to serve as the Project & Budget Manager of Design for construction and renovation projects, as well as to establish stakeholder engagement with our clients, building contractors, and the authorities. Actively participated in architectural discussions and presentations, and worked with the team in preparing and developing ‘client-centric’ creative content, drawings, models, images, and other materials relating to design. Additional responsibilities included:
📌	Building the firm’s website to drive usage and improve the user experience by developing localized, high-performing landing pages. 
📌	Conducting site analyses, and drafting measured and aesthetic drawings on AutoCAD, as well as preparing requisite drawings for fire safety, and planning approvals. 
📌	Propelling the business development team in preparing concise technical and financial proposals for our clients and stakeholders.
📌	Showing resilience in coping with conflicting demands, and being able to prioritize duties and work effectively under pressure to reach desired targets.
📌	Engaging in continuous professional development through knowledge of, and compliance with, KAIA’s procedures and standards, and Singapore’s architectural policies and code of ethics.

Oversaw all aspects of Front-of-house (FOH) management operations, including managing reservations, and attending to guest needs in a timely manner. Specialized in motivating our team to maintain the highest standards of service quality, including:
📌	Implementing growth optimization opportunities by managing all social media, mailers, and promotional content
📌	Planning, management, and execution of all marketing-related activities and tactics to drive lead generation.
📌	Fostering relationships with our patrons and regular guests to ensure satisfaction, as well as identify specific preferences to tailor marketing strategies and promotional events to their preferred tastes.
📌	Conducting training for all new employees, and ensuring they had a full understanding of the restaurant’s policies, as well as in-depth knowledge of Health & Safety standards.
📌	Spearheading the team briefing sessions to ensure colleagues were abreast with any ‘specials’, offers, and promotions, and were motivated to set their best foot forward.

Yume Kitchen

A Japanese ‘sushiya’ and 'izakaya' inspired restaurant popular with Asians and locals, and catering to a wide variety of patrons. 
Recruited in this dual-role to help with menu engineering and graphic designing, although research revealed further challenges in the overall organization, pricing strategy, and service fundamentals. Orchestrating a few changes to the operation was able to turn around the business, soon enabling us to pull in a profit that led to the business expanding towards a satellite ‘Take-away only’ branch, as well as generating sales from an online food store on Shopify. Other key achievements included:
📌	Eliminating labor-intensive menu-items that were low on yield, and replacing them with customer-friendly choices that were easier to prepare, and more profitable.
📌	Piloting a successful monthly Japanese Cultural Club event, including all logistics pertaining to theme definition, even planning, work delegation, and designing of marketing collateral to create a sales buzz.
📌	Creating and curating marketing and PR content for the restaurant’s website, and all social media platforms including Facebook and Mail chimp.
📌	Conducting a food waste-audit to identify potential options for cost reduction through effective waste management, ordering to par levels to reduce spoilage, managing inventory, and effectively applying recipe management to standardize food portions.
📌	Building brand awareness and customer reach by liaising with UK F&B app owners for Just Eat, Deliveroo, Wriggle, etc. 
📌	Re-engineering the menu to attract more customers, as well as absorb a portion of the 20% VAT surcharge that was imposed.
📌	Collaborating with various suppliers and the Chef to secure the best ingredients, at the lowest prices.
📌	Promptly resolving customer complaints, ensuring repeat patronage, and brand loyalty.
