How to protect your connections - just in case.

My start to 2026 was a total ban from LinkedIn for nine days.
For ‘repeatedly sharing unsolicited and/or spam content. ’ 🤔

Hay, it’s not the first time mega organisations have been threatened by my almighty powers.
(actually it is).

But we all know this could happen to any one of us 
any day 
on any platform.
It’s borrowed land.

So here we are - a reminder to not put all the proverbial eggs in one basket.

And to downloaded your LinkedIn data as a back up.

Here’s how:
Go to LinkedIn settings → Download your data.

You can download:

• your connections
• account history
• verifications and contacts

That way you don’t lose contacts its taken years to nurture.

Gratitude might be the most underrated growth strategy we have.
And honestly?
I’m tired of the default mode of these times.

The constant chasing.
The pressure to want more immediately.
The feeling that if you’re not pushing, optimizing, or upgrading, you’re falling behind.

Somewhere along the way, “never satisfied” got rebranded as ambition.

And I bought into it.

But here’s what gratitude gives you. It says:
“I see what’s already here, and I appreciate it.”

When you cultivate gratitude:

You stop making decisions from lack.

You stop chasing things just to prove something.

You start noticing what’s actually there.

And oddly enough…
that’s when things begin to move faster.

Calmer choices.
Better energy.
More aligned opportunities.

Less forcing.
More attracting.

So this year, my focus isn’t on wanting harder.

It’s on appreciating deeper.

Here’s what that looks like in practice:

Starting and ending my day by naming what’s already good.

Measuring progress by alignment, not just outcomes.

Letting satisfaction and gratitude coexist with ambition, instead of treating them like foreigners.

I’d love to know:

Because I have a feeling this truth isn’t lived enough:

You don’t attract more by gripping tighter.

You attract more by finally acknowledging what’s already here.

Listen, the noise on LinkedIn is not going to decrease anytime soon, so leaning in to who you truly are is your most impactful business move.

More posts.
More AI.
More frameworks.
More “do this not that’ shizle.

So trying to out-optimize the noise or join the trend is a losing game.

What does cut through in 2026?

Leaning harder into who you already are.

Not the polished version.
The real one.

What I’ve noticed from posts that actually work (mine and others):

They don’t try to impress.

They sound like a human who has a point of view, feelings and experiences.

The posts that land aren’t always the most tactical or perfectly formatted.
They’re the most relatable.

You read them and think:
“Yeah… that sounds like me.”

So instead of asking:
“What should I post today?”

Try asking:
“What do I actually care about?”
“What bothers me?”
“What do I say offline that never makes it into my content?”

That we can connect with YOU.
And remember you.
And refer you when the need arises.

Being you scales better than strategy ever will.

New Year prep. Your 2026 action plan 👇
I realized something recently that stopped me in my tracks. 

I haven’t been making memories for my death bed 
What I mean is:

I’ve been comfortable doing the same safe, repeatable things.
Not bad things.
Just… forgettable ones.

And if we’re honest, the stuff that creates lasting memories is also the stuff that expands you. It becomes:

Fuel for creative thinking

Fodder for interesting conversations

Proof to yourself that you’re actually living, not just operating

The opposite is easy to spot too.

When you don’t do interesting, memorable things, you end up with:

Painfully dull answers to “So, what have you been up to?”

A low-grade unease you can’t quite explain

No energy for creativity… or life

No inputs.
No spark.
It kind of sucks.

So when a friend recently told me about Jesse Itzler’s BIG A$$ calendar plan I jumped.

The idea is simple:
Lock the life-enhancing stuff on the calendar first, and protect it.

Here’s the framework:

1️⃣ One Hella Big Misogi
Once a year, do something so hard you have to work towards it. 
A year-defining challenge.

6️⃣ Six Mini-adventures
Every 2 months, do something new. 
A day or weekend completely outside your default patterns.

4️⃣ Four New Habits
One each quarter. 
Stack them long enough and your life quietly upgrades.

All in the name of what?

Creating memories you’ll actually be proud of.
Expanding what you think you’re capable of.
Showing yourself, repeatedly, that you don’t outsource your life to “someday.”

So let me ask you:
