If you're reading this; hi 👋 how are you? My name is Katie, here's my story 👇 To say I'm 27, I am still quite early on in my business career. I started my working life fresh out of university with a degree in Early Years, as a nursery practitioner. The aim was to study whilst working to achieve Early Years Teacher status, but it just wasn't the right fit for me. After 3 years, I followed my heart and left to start my career with ASCG in supply chain logistics 🧬📦🚛 During my time at ASCG I've had a few different roles- from account management admin to my current position in commercial (specifically sales and marketing). In my 4 years of being at ASCG, I have: 📦 Been introduced to the world of business, retail and supply chain and how logistics plays a crucial role in our every day lives e.g. being able to explain issues that affect everyone, such as empty shelves at the supermarket and why retailers are able to deliver your order to your door within 24 hours 🤓 Had exposure to physically work in different areas of a logistics business that has provided invaluable knowledge and insight of the way different functions work 🖌 Implemented a business rebrand, establishing and promoting a new brand identity for a growing, tech-led business. Watching the business evolve its messaging, design and persona in line with strategy and growth has been one of the most insightful things I've had the pleasure of being involved with 📱 Discovered a new passion for social media and marketing. I am fortunate enough to be in a role that lets me research, explore and experiment. This alone has allowed to to apply knowledge and skills in my personal life and my side hustles 🛍 Been introduced to some of the biggest decision makers in retail from the most popular brand names we all know and love 🏅 Become a Charity Champion and raised almost £20k for the most incredible charity with my colleagues, doing absolutely anything we can to support the cause 🏆 I have recently been working more in sales/ business development, being more involved and coordinating tenders, proposal writing, designing solutions and producing rates for new clients or new workstreams
