Medici

Medici is a mobile healthcare platform that connects patients and doctors, allowing them to communicate securely and efficiently. 

My responsibilities are to manage acquisition of both doctors and patients, facilitate the on-boarding process and ultimately, encourage usage.

Achievements: As one of the first members of the marketing team, I introduced programs to acquire and communicate with doctors and facilited the integration of important marketing tools. I played a large role in launching Medici in South Africa which included launching localized landing pages built for direct response, managing the local PR team who succeeded in securing reputable mentions in the press and managing various campaigns to acquire South African doctors. I implemented a program to assist the on-boarding of newly registered doctors and have paved the way for successful doctor acquisition.

Favor

Favor is an Austin based on-demand delivery app, guaranteeing anything you want delivered to your door, in under an hour.

My responsibilities were to manage driver acquisition across 25 US markets which includes - developing a budget strategy, structuring a referral program, implementing and strategically optimizing campaigns across various channels and ultimately working towards achieving an affordable driver acquisition cost.

Achievements: When I started at Favor, driver acquisition was mostly non-existent. I on-boarded and tested over 10 new sources and worked with the creative team, PR and Social Media managers to develop a driver brand campaign to improve brand awareness and drive organic applications. I acquired over 100,000 applicants, resulting in over 16,000 new Runners in 2016. Applicant quality improved and as a result of this and on-boarding efficiencies, global activation rate improved by 50% during 2016. Participation in the Referral program improved and referrals increased by 20% MoM, as a result.

SA Florist

SA Florist is a start-up e-commerce business connecting florists all over South Africa to consumers. During my time at the company, the technology evolved into a marketplace.

My responsibilities were to generate awareness and ultimately acquire new customers via various online channels, create a communication strategy to encourage retention and to meet monthly order targets and increase sales MoM.

Achievements: During my time at SA Florist, daily orders increased by 900%.The database grew from 200 opt in users to over 7,000. Social media following grew by 1000% and the CPA continued to drop each month.

Nona Creative Digital Studio

Nona Creative is a small web development agency with 15 employees.

My responsibilities at Nona Creative were to offer current customers online marketing solutions to meet their business objectives.

Achievements: Developed tactical PR campaigns for a Greek food brand aligning them with high-end brands and integrating events with online channels. During this time, an abundance of content was created and social engagement reached an all-time high.

Developed a strategy to optimize debtbusters.co.za for search engines (SEO).Through keyword research, content generation, breadcrumbs and various other on-page SEO tactics, DebtBusters SEO rankings improved by 60%, targeted traffic to their website increased, as did their leads.

Set up SEM campaigns for a small e-commerce business, optimizing towards a low CPA.The CPA dropped each month, and an impressive ROI was achieved.

Exponential is an advertising network based in California that sells premium inventory but more importantly, their technology provides advertisers with powerful audience data to increase marketing ROI.

My responsibilities at Exponential were to nurture relationships with key agencies and direct clients.This included education on Exponential’s advertising platform, creating custom campaigns based on key variables, as well as sharing the latest industry insights and global case studies.

Achievements: As the first Sales Executive to start the Cape Town office, I introduced Exponential to several big agencies and direct clients in Cape Town. Performance networks were new to South Africa at the time so we received tail-end budgets but during my time at the company, I was able to gain and retain big clients and increase their monthly spend. Our South African country sales target was achieved each quarter.

Business Development - Online Marketing Technology

Aqua Online

Aqua Online is Africa’s largest digital agency, servicing international brands such as Coca Cola, Nokia, Samsung and many more.

My responsibilities were to produce, deploy, maintain and optimize online media strategies across multiple digital platforms. 

Achievements: After 3 months of intensive training and working under several senior media strategists, I was selected out of a team of 10 to be the strategist for one of South Africa’s top 5 financial institutions where I worked with several marketing teams in their various divisions with the largest media budget at Aqua Online.
