Drive the turnaround of the Cement business and grow profitability of the Ash Resources business

Managed the overall business comprising of Cement, Dry Mortars and Aggregates operations with staff of 400 generating revenues of USD$70M

Successfully led business turnaround in 12 months doubling  EBITDA margin from 14% to 27% through a clear strategic agenda with 4 pillars
•	Winning at the Customer: Managed to grow market share from 28% to 35% in a market that had declined by 20%. Ensured 15% of Lafarge business come from new product innovations
•	Creating Sustainable Industrial Excellence: Achieved 40% cost reduction in operations by improving quarry operations, tightening maintenance spend and reducing reliance on third party costs. Plant recognized as one of the most improved in product quality standard deviation in the region
•	Restoring Profitability: Doubled margins through disciplined price over costs approach: Increased prices by a factor of 9 in a hyperinflationary  economy where inflation increased by a factor of 5. 
•	Building Winning teams: Track record of developing local talent evidenced in the reduction of expatriates by 80%. Successfully mentored and handed over business to first female local CEO.

I managed overall business start-up, cross-functional teams, and resource management for Lead-Retail Digital Venture. I led the team that developed and executed digital platform for the growth of small retailers as well as fostering long and short-term business relationship with LH. I was responsible for global roll out plans/strategies while assuring cost-effective operations and overseeing market development activities. I administered budget, cash burn, and delivered consultancy on funding requirements to ensure process execution. 

A few key achievements in this tenure include:

	Established first ever retail digital platform, targeting 10,000 LH retailers 
	Launched Lead-Retail Pilot in India, Ivory Coast, and Kenya, whilst achieving standards, sales, profit objectives, and customer satisfaction. 
	Reduced cost by a factor of 10 by moving digital development to India digital hub from London.

I was Commercial Director at Lafargeholcim Zambia & DRC from 2015 to 2017 where I provided executive-level leadership for sales, marketing, and retail organisations of Zambia and Democratic Republic of Congo. I supervised the development and expansion of first retail franchise by devising and implementing sales and marketing plans. I spearheaded start-up of readymix and aggregates operations, product development, capex formulation, and new vertical partnerships to achieve set targets.

	Led business turnaround by reversing price drop up to 25% and managing market competitors. 
	Initiated and launched first ever LafargeHolcim retail franchise in Zambia with 50 stores in first 12 months.
	Led and sustained market share of 45% and generated sales with worth of over €120M in a competitive market.

I directed major development ventures, such as streamlining of container distribution points and depots, introducing new products, and constructing affordable housing and first concrete laboratory in Zambia. I introduced innovative services and solutions to fulfil customers’ requirements and enhance satisfaction levels.

	Contributed €22M incremental EBITDA from 2013 to 14 in development of various projects.  
	Strengthened governance and pricing policies, resulting in huge revenue increase of 12% in 2014. 
	Steered business case for Big Chilanga new cement line investment of €200M in Zambia.

Country Marketing And Strategy Director - Member Of Lafarge Zambia Exco

I was Cluster Marketing Director at Lafarge South East Africa from 2012 to 2013 covering Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, DRC, Burundi and Mozambique. I maximised sales profits, increased company's market share, achieved high return on investment values, and optimised product portfolio within cluster by managing marketing and commercial strategy across three countries. I formulated consistent brand strategy across Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi that promoted products and directly connected to consumer needs, emotions, and competitive environments. I planned and established marketing organisations with highly expert staff in each country. I supervised the launching and progress of new products and services, whilst implementing innovative mentorship programmes to promote sales capabilities across company. 

A few key achievements in this tenure include:
	
	Enhanced profitability from €95M to €130M in 2015 by defining / contributing to growth plans for EBIDTA. 
	Developed top level sales capabilities and training to improve sales force effectiveness in products, solutions, and services.

Cluster Marketing Director – Member of Cluster Exco

From 2011 to 2013, I served Lafarge Zambia as a Marketing & Special Projects Director. I established and executed new set-ups and mega projects while bringing innovative products/services and increasing Lafarge brand visibility through extensive marketing campaigns. I administered most successful media campaign in the history of Lafarge Zambia, receiving nomination as the best branding campaign in Lafarge Group. I supervised all aspects of branding and marketing, analysing brand positioning in the market, monitoring market trends, and finding new growth opportunities. 

A few key achievements in this tenure include:

	Directed record break launching of SupaSet Cement within short period of six months.
	Generated Supaset volume up to 40% of business portfolio within first 18 months, whilst receiving best product award for record launching for Lafarge Group in 2012. 
	Delivered multi-functional support in regaining market share from 51% in 2010 to 69% in 2012. 
	Achieved $1.2M cost saving on quarry operational costs of $8M as well as saved 20% cost on aggregates plant equipment capital expenditure, successfully launching aggregates business with revenues over €3M.
