I am looking to switch from the insurance sales field to the tech sales industry and to use the communication and interpersonal skills I have spent years improving. I have almost 20 years of insurance sales experience but am looking to change industries into information technology. With this decision, I decided to take an intensive online course to assist in becoming more acclimated to tech sales development. In this course, I read very informative books such as, How to Win Friends and Influence People, Fanatical Prospecting, and SPIN Selling. Along with these books, the course helped me learn skills to be successful in the tech sales industry, specifically business to business sales versus business to customer sales, which is what most of my sales experience has been in. This included prospecting, researching, large scale sales cadence, and outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn.) I am currently looking for a sales development representative role to begin my journey in tech sales. I am eager to assist your team and utilize the newly acquired large scale skills that I have learned.
