Keith Carter has spent the past 25+ years in consumer package goods. His consumer research experience in both domestic and international development during this time focused on consumer strategy, consumer/customer insights, and market/sensory research. Keith presently is in an independent business practice located in the Dallas, Texas area. Prior to this Keith was Director of Consumer Strategy & Insights for Foods and Beverages in Latin America for PepsiCo International. Before re-joining with PepsiCo International in the Latin America assignment, Keith conducted an independent business practice in the Dallas, Texas area. Prior to establishing his consultancy, Keith Carter most recently was Vice-President, Consumer Insight Development, for ConAgra Foods. His accountabilities included management of the consumer insights, sensory research & culinary design, consumer communications, and syndicated databases & services. He also was chairperson of the ConAgra Foods Research Council and the ConAgra Foods Consumer Affairs Council. Prior to ConAgra Foods, Keith was Vice-President, Consumer Insights, for Suiza Foods Corporation in Dallas. His accountabilities included management of syndicated databases, sensory and consumer testing for new product development, and brand tracking. Keith also spent a 15 years in several responsible roles in the PepsiCo organization. He was Vice-President, Global Consumer Insights, for PepsiCo and Frito-Lay. Other responsibilities in PepsiCo included New Products Innovation, Consumer Strategist, and Sensory Research in both Foods and Beverages businesses. Prior to PepsiCo, Keith was an assistant professor at the University of Florida where he was a member of the faculty for the Center for Rural Community Development and the 4-H Youth Programs in the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences. Keith completed his PhD in Sociology, with a minor in statistics, at Iowa State University in 1979.
