My role at Distrelec was to help make user research a routine part of processes within the company. I introduced regular user testing sessions and achieved buy in from product management and other 
 stakeholders within the company, the process around these feeding into and informing company level digital transformation projects that were ongoing. During the 8 months there I ran 8 rounds of user testing with 41 participants and gathered insights that informed improvements in the website as a whole, product discovery and registration processes amongst others.

I was called upon to continue my previous work for Zurich but this time from the more sunnier Climes of my new home in Malta. 

Working on the Pension savings transfer project creating a series of UI transactional pages and the HTML build for these. In close Liaison with team members based in the UK I successfully completed this work.

Designing the user experience and interface design of a new life product quote and apply extranet for both end customers and independent financial advisers. Working with stakeholders and business analysts to gather requirements and create appropriate user focussed journeys, resulting in wireframes and interactive prototypes. The first part of this project for end consumers has been launched to great success with customer business far exceeding any expectations.

I was retained by Zurich in September to work on the UI design of a new pensions and retirement area of the main Zurich UK website. This involved the creation of an 'on brand' style for  the informational areas of the new site along with designs for the transactional UI elements that will form part of a new Global direction for Zurich's web presence. I also built out the site in html5 ready for implementation in a custom CMS.

With Use Ability, I have moderated or observed over 700 hours of usability testing and run many mixed method user research studies for clients across Telecoms, Banking, Fintech, Tourism, Healthcare, Government and iGaming. The participants for this research are located in numerous countries around Europe and also in the US and Canada. My experience in UX spans over a decade helping businesses to enhance their customer interactions, journeys and improve their user experience through user testing and effective UX design.

For the past 2 years I have been designing an all in one user research app, reallyusable.com, this is in pre-lauch phase and due to go into beta in October 2024.
