Managed marketing and branding, from strategy to delivery, by creating and maintaining company’s website (web content, job postings, blogs on industry-related topics, and maintained communication with client- and candidate-audiences) and social media (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts), resulting in client and candidate leads, increased awareness, and brand development.
• Recruiting/Sourcing: Sourced and recruited for a variety of IT clients, resulting in successful placements.

• Awards Management (Effies): Worked directly with Olson's VP's; Managed schedule, budget, and overall coordination of 13 in-depth cases, while working daily with Olson's VP's to gather content and revisions.

• Brand Management: Assisted with all aspects of event planning, community relations, agency photography, employee headshots, team activities management, agency tours, client holiday gift coordination, and website blog content.

• Public Relations: Wrote bios, coordinated photo shoots for press releases, maintained media list, and monitored/clipped media mentions.

• Photography Production for PR Photos: Brainstormed concept with creatives, negotiated agency budget and photographer rate, sourced props, scouted locations, organized shoot schedule, and worked with studio for retouch/post-production needs.

// While in this role, Olson extended me for three contracts. The company then acquired three additional companies and my (non-billable) role was not extended for budget purposes. I gained valuable insight on MarComm and culture growth strategies. //

Marketing Communications Coordinator (3 Contracts)

Olson's "O-tern" program is a competitive summer-long internship, preparing fresh talent for the world of advertising. My internship was primarily in the Account Management department, with additional responsibilities related to Marketing and New Business Development. 

• Campaign Pitch: Conceptualized and proposed year-long campaign for Olson's client Phillips Distilling; acted as primary account person and co-project manager on team of 10 interns. This was the interns' summer-long project, to be completed outside of regular account team responsibilities. We presented to Phillips Distilling's CEO and Olson's senior leadership team, all who spoke highly of the campaign.

• Account Management/Project Management: Gained overall account management experience while working on the Fifth Third Bank account management team; learned the process of general agency workflow; reported to Senior Account Executive and Account Director.

• New Business: Worked directly with VP of New Business. Conducted in-depth analysis of Fortune 500 companies in numerous industries; presented to new business team.

• Blog: Wrote “Journey of an O-tern” blog entries weekly for Olson's website, engaging internal and external communities.

// While in this role, I networked throughout the company, asking division leaders from a variety of practices (brand management, production, etc.) to share insights about their roles to get a better idea of how everything worked together within a holistic agency and determine my career path interests.
