Fostering relationships with key journalists, creating newsworthy press releases and media alerts, securing media coverage in national, local, business, trade and lifestyle media outlets. Passion projects included writing fun and engaging copy across landing pages, e-mail blasts, social media channels and out-of-home marketing collateral that led to increased engagement and interactions in both online and offline environments.

Rebranded and drove awareness and increased sales of the sister-site to Zappos.com. Project managed a social media team of three. Drove multi-channel social strategy through content creation from both a day-to-day and campaign based perspective. Wrote press releases and editorial content to pitch to journalists for continual brand storytelling. First to establish a measurement model through in-house reporting tools. Established and executed a COOP program for vendors resulting in increased revenue to company.

Liaison between merchandising teams and fashion vendors as marketing coordinator. Created over 300 integrated marketing plans each tailored to suit the vendor's unique needs and brand guidelines, inclusive of digital display ads, e-mail campaigns, social media posts, advertorial and broadcast integrations.

I'm Kelly Teemer-Altemara, a senior media and public relations and creative specialist originally from Vegas but currently honky-tonking in Austin, TX.

My work experience: Zappos.com raised me and Scribe Media made me. Between the two of those companies, I have 12 years of media and public relations experience, probably know the booking producer at your favorite podcast, I’m powered by service, and one of my clients recently called me a "media alchemist."

I've worked to secure coverage in countless industries including entrepreneurism and start-ups, business and leadership, technology, marketing, legal, human resources, personal development/self-help spaces, health, and so many more.
