I’m a self proclaimed planner. I grew up having my whole life planned out and as expected… followed through on “The Plan”. I grew up with a passion and drive for helping people which of course lead me to medicine. I studied hard through college to get into grad school at Marquette University. I was proud to earn the title of PA-C (Physician Assistant - Certified) but honestly felt a little let down once I started my career. I had a $120k bill looming over me, call weekends to work around, and patients I couldn’t see because their insurance didn’t cover our visit. My energy dwindled as I admitted to the fact that I was far from where I wanted to be at the age of 25 despite working hard to get there. It was at that point that I stopped defining myself by my career. I got bold and took the plunge into entrepreneurship realizing that would be the best way to own my own time and still make an impact. My husband and I have grown MKB Development Group outside of our careers over the last 10+ years which has lead us to mentoring people on a systematic approach to diversifying their income. We now focus on empowering young professionals who have worked hard to establish a life for themselves but are stuck on how to level up. Like us, people who played by societies rules and found themselves short on time, short on money, and not living up to the lifestyle they truly wanted. It is through empowering people that I have been able to stop defining myself as a PA-C and now as a mentor, speaker, entrepreneur, and challenger of the norm.
