As Head and General Counsel of the Legal Department for the Asia Pacific region, together with 2 other lawyers in my team, I provided legal support for all countries in Asia Pacific that Symrise operates in (which consists of the manufacturing sites in 5 key countries and various sales offices in more than 18 countries).

•	Set up and ran the legal department and legal function for the entire Asia Pacific region from scratch in a sole contributor role (since legal support was previously outsourced to an external legal services provider on a very adhoc basis).

•	Implemented, created awareness and strengthened the legal risk management framework at the Asia Pacific regional headquarters level, sub-regional level and for each individual country.

•	Provided strategic and day-to-day legal support and legal training across all areas at the Asia Pacific regional headquarters level, sub-regional level and for each individual country.

•	Built the Symrise Asia Pacific legal team by hiring and training two new lawyers (one in India and one in China).

and Harmony Capital Partners).

• A consistent and strong revenue earner. Performed beyond the company’s expectations to close his first full operating quarter at close to S$200,000/-. Was also given various incentives and awards by the
company for meeting and breaking his monthly and quarterly budgets.
