FEAD (Female Entrepreneurs In Agri-Food Development)

FEAD is a national non-profit that focuses on developing agri-food, and food processing businesses. Operating extends its reach to over 500 member entrepreneurs across the country with active members in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Yukon and Nunavut.

As an initiative of the Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre, FEAD is proudly supported by the Government of Canada's Women Entrepreneurship Strategy (WES) Ecosystem Fund. This funding enables us to provide the highest level of guidance and resources to our participants, making FEAD the only federally-funded, inter-provincial program specifically designed for women entrepreneurs in the agri-food sector.

As a Co-Owner of a Dental Clinic, I was responsible for overseeing daily operations, inventory management, human resources, payroll, marketing, and stakeholder engagement. My key accomplishments include:

- Integrated comprehensive digital workflow including the following equipment: MCXL, Prime Mill, Prime Scan, SprintRay 3D Printing, CBCT, Ultrasonics, Solea Laser, Healthy Start system, Digital Charting, Invisalign and iTero, and state-of-the-art sterilization center. 
- Increasing preventative patient load by 325% and clinical treatment load by 220%, resulting in a significant increase in clinical annual revenue of 262% and clinic valuation by 407% in less than 4 years.
- Managing the multi-phase six-figure renovation that increased clinical space by 330%, enabling us to accommodate more patients and services.
- Successfully integrating new technology, equipment, training, and services for both administrative team and clinical staff, making Unity Dental the most technologically advanced practice in Saskatchewan.
- Facilitating change and culture management during ownership and leadership transition, ensuring a smooth transition and continued growth.
- Developing brand identity, website, social media presence, and marketing strategies with an aligned growth plan that drove patient acquisition and retention.
- Effectively managing financial accounts, corporate finances, and the multiphase ~$450,000 renovation and clinical expansion project.

Overall, my strategic leadership and operational management skills were critical to the significant growth and transformation of Unity Dental.

As the Director of Business Development and Strategy for ECO Engineering, I was responsible for strategic management and stakeholder relationship development with rural municipalities, villages, towns, and cities across Saskatchewan. My key accomplishments include:

- Developing a corporate strategic growth plan that specialized in targeted size municipalities, decreased risk, and increased efficiency, resulting in profitable and systematic commercial activities.
- Creating a 10-year business plan with financial projections, strategic vision, human resources, and marketing plan that identified and developed growth opportunities.
- Working with the executive team to update the company's vision, mission, values analysis, and goal development to align with the strategic vision and communication plan.
- Leading marketing and strategic planning efforts, including developing the company's web and brand presence to drive business growth.
- Conducting financial forecasting and tracking to identify profitable opportunities and develop strategic growth plans.
- Establishing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships with rural municipalities, villages, towns, and cities across Saskatchewan.

Strategic leadership, financial forecasting, and stakeholder management skills were critical to the success of the environmental engineering firm.

Director of Business Development + Strategy

Global Institute for Food Security

As a Database Administrator and Marketing Coordinator at the Global Institute for Food Security (GIFS), I was responsible for a range of tasks to support the organization's research and marketing efforts. My key accomplishments include:

- Developing and maintaining corporate imagery for GIFS, providing a gallery of 2000+ images that were used across various channels, including the website, social media, and marketing collateral.
- Collaborating with the Director of Marketing to develop and execute a social media strategy for GIFS, including establishing new channels and increasing engagement on existing channels.
- Creating a preliminary database for Canola genotyping, which was used to input information into computer programming for the development of genetically modified varieties. This involved working closely with researchers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate data collection and entry.
- Maintained and optimized GIFS' database, ensuring that data was accurate and up-to-date.
- Coordinated with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that data was being used effectively and efficiently.
- Developed marketing collateral and provided support for marketing campaigns as needed.

Marketing Lead + Database Administrator 

Western Sales (1986) Ltd.

I was responsible for developing communication and presentation strategies, as well as assisting the agronomy team with stakeholder relations and data analysis. My work also included developing brand, web presence, and content for partnership with the Global Institute for Food Security.

- Collaborated with the agronomy team to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing insights and presenting agronomy, field, and planning strategies to producers.
- Created and executed communication and presentation strategies for agronomic data to facilitate effective communication between producers and the agronomy team, resulting in increased understanding and satisfaction.
- Coordinated and managed major in-house events in collaboration with Bourgault Industries, increasing brand awareness and showcasing new products and services.
- Led media and communication efforts for the Western Ag Research Project, in partnership with the Global Institute for Food Security, developing brand identity, web presence, and content to promote the project and its objectives.
- Trained and transitioned the agronomy team to write and develop educational blog content, resulting in a successful blog that provides valuable information and insights to the company's target audience.
- Conducted research on agronomy and industry trends, providing valuable insights to the team to support data-driven decision-making.
