Since encountering Jonathan Livingstone Seagull (a timeless fable by Richard Bach) at the age of fifteen, I have been fascinated with personal growth. Unlike most gulls who are only concerned about flying to eat, Jonathan was different. He worked tirelessly at perfecting the art of flying and consequently, learnt a lot about life. I was inspired by Jonathan (yes, by a seagull) to continuously learn, develop and grow - in search for meaning in the sea of life. Over the past three decades, my passion and career had evolved from computing and information systems, to management consulting, lifestyle entrepreneurship (founder of Gone Fishing - an award-winning café, a parent education business, and a private coaching practice) and presently, executive coaching and leadership development. As Chief Evangelist at BRIDGE, my mission is simply to spread the ‘good news.’ We believe that businesses have a huge part to play in making the world a better place. And we believe that extraordinary already exists in people. Our work is to help leaders unleash the extraordinary version of themselves and the people around them. In doing so, they enable their organisations to achieve radical success and become a greater force for good in the world. When I’m not at work, and not hanging out with my wife and our two teenage boys, I love being outdoors – hiking in nature, endurance swimming, trail running, and occasionally, long-boarding. I enjoy meaningful conversations with kindred spirits.
