Anthem Award winning conversation designer and producer, currently at Google designing helpful conversations empowered by LLMs! Previous design experience includes: designing conversational experiences at Google and Amazon as well as providing design or consulting for clients including the World Health Organization, Lowe's, Spirit Airlines, VaynerMedia, BBDO Worldwide, McCann, Publicis, FritoLay brands, Mars brands, MillerCoors brands, Bridgestone, Buick, State Farm, GlaxoSmithKline and others. I most recently was awarded the Anthem Award for Best Use of AI (Bronze) for my project Moment in Manzanar - in this experience, the audience is invited to talk to Ichiro, a Japanese American from 1943 incarcerated in the Manzanar concentration camp. I'm also an award-winning screen writer with my most recent project being "My Daughter Yoshiko" where we explored the drama that is a reflection of our society’s struggle with language barriers and of lack of acceptance of neurodiversity. The short film follows Yoshiko, a first-generation Japanese-American who was recently diagnosed with Autism, navigating the world with her single mother. My work is informed by my improv comedy training and I have over a decade of experience. I'm a part of the Story Pirates, bringing to life children's stories and ideas on the live stage. I am confident that my improvisational comedy background is critical to my ability to create conversational agents that can naturally react and have an engaging conversation with our users. I'm interested in exploring new ways to communicate. Whether that means designing human-machine interfaces, using my voice and training to spontaneously create story on the stage, or developing and creating characters to send a message, I strive to make experiences that are born out of an empathetic understanding of the user or audience.
