Association of Business Mentors

The Association of Business Mentors (ABM) is the independent, not-for-profit professional body for Business Mentors. Founding the Association of Business Mentors was instigated from witnessing the repercussions of poor business advice received by business owners from unverified business mentors. 

The lack of a professional body to monitor such activity galvanized me to set up the Association with the purpose of raising the bar in business mentoring standards and promoting best practice while providing support to business mentors. This has become a mission of mine alongside my colleagues at the association.

The Association provides accreditation, ongoing training resources and a professional platform dedicated to making a sustained difference to mentors and the organisations and people that they help.

Sinclair Dorman's remit is to create productive, happy working environments where employees can achieve their maximum potential via internal mentoring schemes. 
These initiatives assist companies to maximise their existing people resources, retain staff and improve performance using traditional and modern methods of mentoring including reverse and executive mentoring.

We:

-	Establish internal schemes post a pilot run which includes training, matching and monitoring 
        mentors and mentee's. 
-	Provide ongoing workshops, mentor coaching and resources.
-	Work with human resources departments to refine, motivate or provide training for 
        existing schemes. 
-	Introduce external executive mentors matching SMT's and Director's with a mentor from an elite    
        group who offer impressive industry experience  combined with accomplished mentoring methods

IIC&M

The IIC&M (originally the ECI) was formed in 1999 as a not-for-profit organisation to be a force for good in coaching.  It was founded by and continues to be run by professional coaches. The IIC&M is an internationally-focused organisation; building, maintaining, raising awareness, and working to promote best practices, while providing value added benefits to its Members.

In 2013 a group of concerned professional mentors joined the IIC&M to include accreditation for both mentors and mentor training providers.

Over the last twenty years I have spoken at a great many conferences and meetings ranging from hundreds of people to small groups.  My passion for helping others to achieve their aspirations provides the energy to keep audiences of any size engaged. I deliver targeted, unique content for each occasion which is designed to leave everyone with constructive and achievable insights to take away with them. 
I sit, currently and have in the past, as a judge and panellist for various awards and shows including The London Business Awards, The London Business Show and Fredericks Foundation.

Mentoring is an essential part of keeping focused on all aspects of a business. I work with the people in the business on their business. I provide very experienced 'outside eyes' and work on mindset as well as structure, breaking barriers and capitalising on opportunities.

I work onsite as a Resident Mentor in larger companies as well as to smaller business owners.
Results are not always financially driven however that is most often the outcome due to the individuals and the business being in a far more efficient, motivated state than when I arrive.
