With 10+ years experience in public service librarianship, I work well defining and serving user needs. My strengths lie in writing, research, and ideating, and I thrive where my critical thinking skills are challenged and I am able to solve meaningful problems to improve the experiences and lives of others. With earned degrees in both English (PhD, 19th & 20th century American literature and textual bibliography) and library and information science (MLIS), I have particular interests in UX writing, Henry James, Flannery O'Connor, Joyce Carol Oates and the history of authorship as a profession in the United States. I use the entirety of my affection on cats and (probably) spend too much time watching anime - in fact, I cohost a manga podcast, Fullmanga Librarians, available wherever you listen to your favorites. Dream life goal: writing full-time while living in and loving an East Coast (USA) beach town with my developmentally disabled adult son, who keeps me laughing every single day.
