● Worked with a global leader in market research on their new Design System, launching a new ZeroHeight documentation website. Implemented a total UI rebuild, powered by Storybook, embedding accessibility from the outset, and leveraging progressively enhanced HTML Web Components.
● Perfomed accessibility audits on a number of purpleplanet clients' web projects, and mentored engineering teams to remediate accessibility issues.

Design System Lead

Rawnet Digital Agency

● Built a brand new accessible, performant, responsive & scalable UI component library (vanilla HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript/TypeScript), powered by Storybook & Parcel bundler. The library utilised modern browser APIs to massively reduce the amount of authored code & maintenance costs.
● Mentored the UI team, with a particular focus on accessibility & authoring cleaner code.
● Performed detailed accessibility audits on Rawnet's key client websites, making recommendations & implementing fixes.
● Established an accessibility Slack channel to encourage wider conversations within Rawnet.

Senior UI Developer 

Geronimo Web Ltd

● Rebuilt Geronimo's entire web front-end from the ground up (vanilla HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript/TypeScript). Adopted a "mobile-first" methodology. Used JavaScript as a progressive enhancement. Architected new tokenised CSS & build processes to support multi-brand theming.
● Built a Storybook component library, working closely with designers to create a cohesive Design System.
● Resulted in a highly performant & accessible multi-themed web platform with >90% reduction in CSS/JavaScript payload sizes, especially on mobile.

Principal Front-End Developer

Omnico Group

● Led a small team of UI developers to re-architect & build a suite of accessible & responsive web apps (e.g. digital kiosk, back office, EPOS) for Omnico's clients. 
● This was part of a fundamental re-shaping of how Omnico developed their software; de-coupling the front-end, using modern JS web app architecture (React + Node), and consuming REST APIs.

● Provided governance for all UI development by establishing new code quality guidelines, optimising UI architecture & build processes, and mentoring all UI developers (including off-shore partners).
● Built & maintained a new accessible UI component library.
● Trained all consumers of the eCommerce platform (including digital merchandisers).

Senior UI Developer

● Core member of a small development team involved in a complete re-build of B&Q's website.
● Particular focus on building a highly accessible, modular, scalable HTML/CSS framework, including a bespoke component library & styleguide, that was integrated into the existing e-Commerce platform.

● Built accessible & responsive front-end templates for a wide range of public & private sector clients.
● Re-architected the CSS codebase. Converted 80+ CSS files to use a CSS pre-processor.
● Created training material. Led regular client training sessions on using Abacus' marketing products.
