Hey there! I'm Kevin, I am a software executive with over 25 years of experience in software. And loving every minute of it! Scaling, building, restructuring, occasionally stumbling, and ultimately winning – and always learning. First the fun facts section…… I always find time for travel, baseball, wine, music, reading and triathlon training. You often find me (and my wife) in Oregon Wine Country. I'm building www.oregonwinedestinations.com (yes, it needs work) and spending way too much time trying to keep our 3-year old Golden (WrigleyBobo on Instagram) from destroying our house and yard. I love baseball. I coach. Love watching it and as a family we’ve been to 17 of the 30 MLB stadiums. Our goal is to hit the next 13 before our son graduates from high school. Triathlon training is a blast. Still mastering the Olympic distance which is keeping me busy! And yes, music. All genres. But I really love metal. Saw U2 at The Sphere opening night. Have seen 2 dozen Tool concerts. The Foo Fighters and Slipknot concerts as well. And more about my professional experience...... As a CMO, I've had the privilege of helping innovative companies grow and achieve market leadership in emerging categories. Along the way, I've picked up an diverse set of experiences and perspectives working for private equity, VC-backed companies leading to IPO and multiple exits. Aware is backed by Goldman Sachs, a cutting-edge AI data platform tackling cybersecurity threats within workplace collaboration platforms like Slack and Teams. It's an amazing product at the intersection of Data and AI, built by an insanely talented team. Prior to Aware, I had the privilege of serving as CMO at Siteimprove, based in Copenhagen. I led a pivotal shift in the company's direction, transitioning from a focus on accessibility software to a cutting-edge marketing platform. In the private equity world, I led marketing for over a dozen portfolio companies. I built the team and the playbook to run marketing across each portfolio co. It was during that time I coded the process to scale and standardize operations across multiple businesses that sold products across different buyers in different segments at different price points all while delivering efficient revenue growth. I also held leadership roles at notable companies such as BrightEdge, Salesforce, and ExactTarget and an active advisor and investor to several innovative SaaS companies. I even took the plunge and launched my own software company during the pandemic – a passion project that was incredibly rewarding.
